Is there currently a way to export a post (question or answer) as text, other than the primitive one of copy paste? A search suggests that one can download the "body" using the API. But even assuming I can figure out how to do this, it will probably be some kind of markup. HTML, possibly.
@AndrasDeak Not sure what you mean. Do what? Break them up? And if so, how? I seem to recall that putting a `` at the end of a shell script line serves as a continuation character.
Yes, a backspace with nothing after it is line continuation. But I bet there are online resources saying this too. They might even work in single-quoted strings. (If not, at worst you could split up the strings and put them next to one another.)

I was just looking at mathoverflow.net/questions/413815/… and it's not currently showing reps. At least they appear momentarily when loading the page, but then disappear almost immediately.
I have a javascript blocker; I got so used to it working on SO/SE sites that I didn't think to check it for Math Overflow; it was blocking the javascript that hides the rep points.
