@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ why don't you use the PPCG minecraft server?

What was vihans previous username?

@Mego I would argue that "Wot A Dong" is not offensive as "Dong" is defined as "the deep resonant sound of a large bell"

The Men Who Stare at Goats (2004) is a book by Jon Ronson concerning the U.S. Army's exploration of New Age concepts and the potential military applications of the paranormal. The title refers to attempts to kill goats by staring at them. The book is companion to a three-part TV series broadcast in Britain on Channel 4 — Crazy Rulers of the World (2004) — the first episode of which is also entitled "The Men Who Stare at Goats". The same title was used a third time for a loose feature film adaptation in 2009. == Content == === Book synopsis === The book's first five chapters examines the...

@IsBegot 'Aint nobody got time to press the space bar four times.
I only use 2 spaces when I'm coding in notepad

@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ If you're doing it that way you're doing it wrong >_>

I just use tab expanded to 4 spaces.

@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ When you press tab, any decent editor will insert spaces

> I only use 2 spaces when I'm coding in notepad

> I only use 2 spaces when I'm coding in notepad

@SirPython That works in certain circumstances. Sometimes I backspace the whole line ;)

@AlexA. I like pressing tab.

2:29 AM
@SirPython that's what we do at PPCG as long as it continues to work for all the test cases

@El'endiaStarman indentation by tabs should throw an error

@El'endiaStarman brb never using Pytek

2:31 AM
@Vihan It usually does in python.

@AlexA. Good. Pytek will not serve your kind!

@MyHamDJ I have a newfound respect for Python...

Just make spaces functional and it's not even an error. It's just not the way you do it :)
@MyHamDJ Only if you try to mix the two in my experience (which, admittedly, isn't much).

@IsBegot ....that's...evil. I love it.

@Vihan This should make you lose all of that respect: codegolf.stackexchange.com/a/58/31716

2:33 AM
if (c[i] == "\t") return [1, "Why the heck are you indenting with tabs ಠ_ಠ"]

@Geobits, that's why I said usually.

that should do it...
@MyHamDJ My respect for Python was at -0.5, then it went to +0.5 now it's at -1 now...

@Vihan Why the heck are you using an array as a return value when it doesn't actually represent an array ಠ_ಠ

@Doorknob because JavaScript doesn't have tuples

you have no excuse; I know JavaScript has {object: 'syntax'}

I'm not even sure what c[i] is supposed to be, unless he's banning tabs everywhere, and not just for indentation like the error message says.

@Doorknob yes but that is way to verbose

@IsBegot the current character?

^

@Doorknob function Tuple(){for(var i=0;i<arguments.length;i++)this[i]=arguments[i];}

2:35 AM
that is a very bad idea

@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ Well, that's what I mean... wouldn't you just need to check the first for each line, and not loop it through?

@IsBegot He could be looping through a certain section of the code? I see your point though.

I'm going to start using indent-level four tabs just to be different.

I was just thinking that >_>

@IsBegot ಠ_________________ಠ

2:38 AM
And render them in my own editors as one space each.

you people are crazy

That first paragraph is such a mess. :P

> I've heard that your code can run faster if you indent it in reverse, so that the compiler can process it like a tree design pattern from the very top of the "branches" down. This helps because gravity will speed up the time it takes for your code to be compiled, and the data structure efficiency is improved. Here's an example, in Java scripting:

Well, I think my kid is starting to get bored of school. Looking over a recent project he did, he's certainly "having fun" with it at least.
Assignment: Come up with an invention. List the parts you'll need. Write instructions on how to do it. Do it. Draw a picture of it and explain how it turned out.

AHHH darude sandstorm is on TV again why

So as the invention he chose "wave-wheeling driver", an invisible car that can drive on water. It's also "unhackable" and blind people can drive it.
Big list of parts, complicated instructions, and then the finale...
A picture of an engine on fire, with the outcome "we could not build our invention".
