@HelkaHomba The room owners were added to because of the problem of messages that are neither spam nor inappropriate to SE in general, so they are expected to move messages that are subjectively regarded as noise. It's not possible to draw a line that suits everyone, but if the line seems to be significantly off mark (in either direction) then please raise it (on meta with a link from here would probably attract most eyes, and can potentially be pinned since it's relevant to chat).

Well, I wasn't bothered by the perceived noise in here that led to more ROs, so I guess I'm in the minority.

I would guess that the people who are both happy that the noise is low enough and happy that the moderation isn't excessive are probably a minority too - the majority are probably unhappy in one direction or the other. They say compromise is making both sides equally unhappy...

I do appreciate your transparency on the subject

I appreciate your feedback too - it seems a problem with no right answer so the best that can be hoped for is gradually adjusting back and for over time...
@HelkaHomba I've been meaning to ask you about adapting your code for Block Building Bot Flocks, now that the post maximum length has been doubled. Would you be happy for me to adapt the code for a KotH of my own, and do you have a preferred attribution message?
Would something like this be OK:
// Many thanks to Helka Homba for these posts, which provided the idea of a Stack Snippets KotH and heavily informed this code.
// Red vs. Blue - Pixel Team Battlebots: codegolf.stackexchange.com/q/48353/20283
// Block Building Bot Flocks: codegolf.stackexchange.com/q/50690/20283
Is a link to the post preferable to a link to your profile?

@trichoplax That's fine. Just link my challenge somewhere in there.

@HelkaHomba Thanks :) Will do (I'll be mentioning it in both code and post)

chat.stackexchange.com/rooms/53490/contact game about to start it looks like

Lots of emoticons are just unclosed brackets
Just let that sink in
:)

Lots of brackets for all your emoticons: ((((((((((((

))))))))))))

int main(){for(;;)putc('(');}
And my program has been running for longer than any you can write, therefore I will always have more opening brackets

@Mendeleev I saw a giant rubber duck on the front page of my local newspaper today, made me think of you

Nice, thanks

is that the same duck from your pic when you were wat?

@MitchSchwartz I thought it was just once every time you use your computer

@ASCII-only can u join slack pls

@MistahFiggins Probably
Link?
Not that

11:32 PM
just a sec

@Mendeleev I got kicked for sending that

Did you?

Yup

lol, just make sure not to one-box it

It automatically one-boxes for a lot of us

11:34 PM
@Downgoat ok

if you put other text in there or make it a link with wirds it doesn't

@MDXF *everyone

@ASCII-only ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I can only speak for myself and those I know of, I guess

@MistahFiggins Yes

11:38 PM
@MDXF ... Why wouldn't it onebox if everyone has the same clientside JS though

@ASCII-only I thought it might be a tacoscript thing, I never noticed oneboxing before that

@MDXF You what :| all images onebox

ಠ_ಠ this is not this big of a deal

A single oneboxed image is not generally a problem. It's more a problem when several are posted in quick succession, or if the file size is large (animated GIFs for example) since some people have limited bandwidth or pay by the byte

Somehow Chrome wants to autocorrect "Deoxyribonucleic" into "Oligonucleotide."

Heh that's funny, I just tried it out like "yeah right" and ...lol
Would anyone like to contribute to my new language idea?
