The J programming language is very confusing to me

It seems like a language that would be nice to golf in

But I don't get how J functions work because I am used to having functions taking arguments, rather than acting like Python's map

It really seems like a write-only language

Ugh, this is stupidly hard in V. It should be like 6 bytes but the end of the sentence keeps getting screwed up

you might wish to do that

basically, when you put a sequence of functions (more often called "verbs") together, you get a "train". If there are 3 verbs in this train, it's called a "fork", and if there are 2, it's called a "hook". Each train is also a verb.

For example, 3 + 4 * 5 in conventional programming is just +3*4 5 in pyth (operators go before operands)

@Pavel library of babel contains all texts that have been written, are being written, will ever be written, or will never be written. it contains all truths and all lies. it is unimaginably immense, no one will ever be able to find any clear english text, let alone the secrets of quantum mechanics or the access codes to the universe simulation (if that's a theory you subscribe to)

basically it's an RNG with a certain algorighm, a limited length, and a user specified seed.
