ok, I thought you wanted to remove it from this question. Now I understand you want to remove it entirely.
@amWhy I think it is a useful tag, because issues related appeared several times in questions on meta and this make them easier to find. (Of course, this is a judgment call.)
BTW I would be perfectly ok with tag, if we have enough question about them. For example, on meta.SE there are now more than 100 questions in the tag chat-stars.

BTW on MO (main site) there used to have (ask-noam) and (ask-johnson) tags. I do not remember username-based tag here on math.SE. Well, unless you count . chat.stackexchange.com/transcript/3740/2014/12/25
That's just an attempt to make a joke. (Probably quite lame one.) Anyway, I would not support (Michel-Hardy) tag.

@MartinSleziak Hmm. Pinned messages apparently don't stay on top if they are too old?

It seems that somebody unpinned them. When I look at this message, I only see star, not pin: chat.stackexchange.com/transcript/2165?m=39030039#39030039
Hm, strange, when I try menu, it offers me: "unstar this message" and "unpin this message".
But the star seems "usual".

I tried to pin it again and it failed with the message: "You have already voted, but the voting has been cleared by a moderator"
@MartinSleziak: Are you able to pin it again?

It seems that pins are automatically removed after 14 days: Keep pinned messages pinned (without 14 days limit) in chat rooms
So perhaps the only reasonable way would be to post the message again.

I see.
Anyway it looks like our experiment with using this room to deal with bad posts has also failed.

@user21820 No. The possibilities I am offered are "unpin" and "unstar".
That depends on your definition of "failed".
I've posted some messages about duplicates. I believe the messages I posted recently were either closed/merged or I got some feedback here in chat.

9:34 AM
Haha of course it depends.. Remember I used one unambiguous NAA as a test case. It was pinned since 26 Jul for 2 weeks but didn't get any downvotes (which it didn't already have) so it still cannot be deleted.
It seems it's easier to just ping interested helpers directly to notify them of bad posts.
(It has been working well so far.)

So if one instance where things did not work exactly as expected is sufficient, than almost everything can be considered as failed attempt.
@user21820 I would prefer not to receive such pings. (I do check this room for new messages.) But if there are users of this room who do not mind such pings, surely go ahead.

@MartinSleziak It's not sufficient, but I've tried using this room for more than that one; I think 3−4; none worked.
And yes we don't ping you because you didn't explicitly agree to help.

Was that a royal we. :-)
Maybe the difference is that when you consider "clear NAA", sometimes I am not entirely sure. To give a more extreme example, do you think that MH would agree with all of your closures and votes to delete?
However, the c.r.u.d.e. room (or any room you decide to replace it with) should not be dependent on a single user.
Anyway, even if you consider this room as failed attempt, I'd personally think that it would be a bit hasty simply to abandon it and let it freeze - if not for other reason, it's mentioned in many places on meta as one of options for issues liker reopening and similar stuff.

@MartinSleziak No it's not; there are a few of us that ping each other.
@MartinSleziak I only ask for help to close/delete what I feel are justifiable as bad posts (based on SE guidelines or based on mathematical content).
Also, if I abandon this room it doesn't imply I'm letting it freeze. Rather it is no longer up to me to keep it active or let it freeze. After all, if nobody wants to come here then what can we do?
Unless you explicitly ask me to keep it active, I won't purposely post something here to do so.
Though you could post something here and ping me, and I'll respond as always. =)

@user21820 Sorry, but this sounds as you expect me to beg for your participation in this room.
If you came here to tell me that you prefer to do this in another room (and keep it hidden from other users), I can live with that.

@MartinSleziak No I don't. I'm just stating a fact. I participate in this room solely because of its intended purpose. It failed to achieve that in my eyes. So I stop participating temporarily. Nothing to do with you. It's you who said I would be hasty if I let this room freeze.

No, I did not say you would let it freeze.
I said: "I'd personally think that it would be a bit hasty simply to abandon it and let it freeze".
It was general statement, not explicitly pointing towards a specific user.

Then it was a miscommunication because your statement was "[...] even if you consider [...], I'd personally think that it would be a bit hasty [...]" and suggested to me that despite my consideration it would be hasty (for me) to ... So never mind.

Sorry, I'll have to go. And it's probably better that way, since the more we go through this over and over again, the more grumpy I get.

@MartinSleziak And of course, that suggestion of that tag was in a sense a joke, too. :)
Well, @MartinSleziak I still plan on visiting this chatroom daily. Personally, I don't think two-weeks is sufficient as "an experiment" of using CRUDE. I do believe that posting question/answers which one finds problematic here is more transparent than using "This is the Realm of SimplyBeautifulArt's" chatroom to do so in a rather limited circle. And indeed, @MartinSleziak This is one concern I have had for awhile, the issue I wanted to address you, and @DanielFischer about privately.

Just curious @MartinSleziak. I'm surprised by the difference in the ratios tags/(questions asked) with respect to math.se (very high average number of posts per tag), and that same ratio on meta. I really think that too many tags on meta actually hinders efforts to search. I'll plan to study the tags, and compare number of questions tagged under a tag, over the total number of questions asked on meta. We should not need more than 240 tags on meta.
On the other hand, perhaps I am comparing apples with oranges (tags on main, and tags on meta.)
