I have it on my old XT907 and love it

I remember how much work I had to do to root my Samsung Discover back in the day.

I finally managed to get TWRP on it too.

@NathanOsman Literally every version of the Note 4 besides the Retail Verizon and the AT&T has an unlocked bootloader

Even the developer edition on Verizon is unlocked

Verizon hasn't said whether they're even going to release the update

So funny that you guys have to root your phones: here all phones are sold FreeLibre...

For all we know, they're forcing us to stay on 5.0.1 until Samsung releases 6.0 in 2016, which means we probably have at least 5 months before we get a fix. That's one whole year that VZW Note 4s have been on 5.0.1

Well, yes - I buy Nexus devices which come unlocked and allow you to unlock the bootloader as well.

Although now rooting them requires a custom kernel...
