sudo gedit /lib/plymouth/themes/default.grub
And change grub background color as you want, in my case I change grub background to black (0,0,0)
if background_color 0,0,0; then
clear
fi
Then, update grub
sudo update-grub

Why not use cp command?
for ELEMENT in {1..10}.element; do cp Hydrogen.element element$ELEMENT; done
This command would create 10 files of the name element1.element, element2.element, etc. You can then just rename the files with the relevant element name. If you need to generate more element f...

But it appears you've recently deleted that CW answer. Did it not correctly indicate how the OP said s/he solved the problem?
I'm asking because, if we do know how it was solved, that should be an answer (with two upvotes and/or an accept so the question doesn't appear unanswered). But if we don't, then the question should be closed as too localized. Please let me know (either by chat reply, or by commenting on the question where this is being discussed ...or if it's really complicated, in meta). Thanks.
I left my desktop untouched for period of time. The HDD led still flashes every second and makes a tick sound. Is there any way to find out which process is doing it and which file it writes to?
@jokerdino Yes...but I'm not sure that answer will actually work, and even if it could, we don't know if that helped the OP any. Depending on what we hear about why the CW answer was deleted, it might be OK to close the question as too localized even with the other answer. (Questions are closed as too localized somewhat frequently, even with answers that have been upvoted.)
@Anwar A small amount of rep (and +20 should be considered small, given that your total rep is far higher) is not, in my opinion, something to fret over. But I wouldn't delete your answer yet. The older question has a similar but not identical answer. Assuming the question you've answered is closed as a duplicate, I do think it would make sense for your answer to be merged to the master.
