Hm, I always feel a bit sympathetic when I see someone posting a Linux Mint question here and it gets closed... I sense the person will get more upset than usual.
Good day. There is a problem with Ubuntu One on Linux Mint 11
It cant sync and writes:
File Sync error. (org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.Spawn.ChildExited: Process /usr/lib/ubuntuone-client/ubuntuone-syncdaemon exited with status 1)
@Chan-HoSuh i actually recommend mint as live media for people to put in their disk drives when they anticipate something bad happening online since it ships with flash enabled...but for a real install, use a real distribution...
i don't think so. i would agree that it bears expansion in the during boot area, but it should go under the same canonical question. there's no reason to separate that sub-issue out in my opinion
I'm using Xubuntu 11.04, and with a Windows XP in my VirtualBox. Both have latest Firefox 4 installed. But inside my Ubuntu, Ctrl+F5 never works, and because I don't know what else I could do to force refreshing a page, I have to copy the link and paste them into my Windows XP to get the newest r...

It will install lua5.2 from official ubuntu repository. It's easy way of installing packages on ubuntu.

Unity is basically a frontend or a shell to gtk3, much like Gnome Shell is.

I'd like to help them but I don't think they are understanding so far...
Yep, they are. The user has made a mess of their sources list, and I recommended just reinstalling (they are new to Ubuntu, 3 days or so). Don't know if that is necessary, but it is easier than tracking down and repairing every possible error with sources.

On the download page for Minecraft, Mojang states:
please use Sun's JVM.
You can find instructions on how to do this here. You don't need to bother with any section other than "Choosing your JRE" unless you want to.
Mojang didn't design Minecraft to run on OpenJDK, they instead designed i...
These proposals are quite similar, however I don't think that they can be closed as duplicates as Consumer Electronics is a sub-part of Consumer. I instead think that they should be merged into one Consumer proposal, covering all consumer products.
Proposal: Consumer
