@aking1012 did you get settled in ok? The biggest challenge for me is always right after a move, trying to figure out how I can shop for the groceries I want conveniently and economically.

Checked through the answers about this, and seemingly the only solution is the rather unhelpful suggestion to install 12.04, which is not welcome on any of my machines due to the awful Unity interface - I know there is 'classic' but that's a joke compared to 'proper' Gnome 2. Things not working ...

Is Wubi meant to be a short-term testing thing? I've noticed some people seem to have issues after using it for an extended time. Should they be encouraged to switch to installing Ubuntu the "real" way?
if you can't answer the question, please don't complain. i don't like wubi either, but i'm trying to dupe off a rant question and need to know i'm duping to the right thing

@warl0ck the thing with "Pokemon" is got to catch them all. parallels have been drawn to everything including exception handling: dodgycoder.net/2011/11/yoda-conditions-pokemon-exception.html. so if you get a question you don't want to answer, it's an exception. and...that's the joke. if it's not funny to you, explaining it will make it even less so.
@aking1012 that's a more sophisticated, better explanation than mine. I'd just say that the Pokemon response is basically meant to show you paid no attention to the question and have categorized it as in the "Pokemon" category, which of course "we" all consider to be of the lowest kind. / @warl0ck
