They say BlackBerry 10 will support Qt out of the box.
...and Qt is saying that they will have iOS and Android support by the end of the year.

... And I'm all out of close votes. :)

me too. (well, flags actually)

not the same, we have to review those flags :P

yeah, I know.
@Alvar have you ever thought about using Cinnamon with Ubuntu? Its a lot like Windows 7

@iSeth windows 7 is almost as ugly as Unity and yes I tried it half a year ago when it was brand new. not as good as the classic desktop.

OK :)

10:33 PM
I want the 10.04 classic desktop look back that's the only thing that would make me start using Ubuntu again..

MATE () is a desktop environment forked from the now-unmaintained code base of GNOME 2. The name derives from yerba mate, a species of holly native to subtropical South America used to prepare a beverage called mate. The renaming is necessary to avoid conflicts with GNOME 3 components. History The release of GNOME 3, replacing the classic desktop metaphor with a new interface built on top of GNOME Shell, led to some criticism from the Linux community. Many users refused to accept the new GNOME, calling on someone to continue development of GNOME 2. The MATE project was ...
that looks very similar... shrugs

shrugs??!?!?!

just sayin' there are options although you've probably looked at them all.

@iSeth that looks good, I mean it's not as ugly as Unity ur as unusable as Unity... There's a Desktop and everything!

Q: How to install MATE?

Luis AlvaradoI have seen several youtube videos that are showing MATE (The Gnome 2.x fork) installed in 11.10. How can I install it to test it out in 11.10 and above. If it helps the only sources I know of are: SourceForge - http://sourceforge.net/projects/matede/ GitHub - https://github.com/Perberos/Mate-...

+1 for @LuisAlvarado!!

it still sucks though.

shrugs

They haven't improved on Gnome 2 and it also conflicts a lot with any other desktop
it replaces the image viewer you normally use, the notification system... bleh

double shrug

I tried it for a couple days then purged it

I'm trying to fix screen resolution issues in KDE

10:48 PM
you're either a fan of progress and accept gtk3 or the antipathy of progress and keep clinging to gnome2. pick one. i think we all know what the right decision is --- it's just that people like to complain

IMHO if you're going to fork GNOME, fork GNOME Fallback/Classic and make it something useful.

and font issues

@AbrahamVanHelpsing exactly

need I do it again???
triple shrug

@iSeth use Unity :D
That solves my KDE issues...

10:49 PM

@RolandiXor :|

@Alvar dirty.

clean

@Alvar is that mate or gnome fallback?

10:50 PM
@iSeth gnome fallback

OH that's why it looks so... modern.

@Alvar ok.

haha

Mate uses it own theme...
It's a bit alien.

The day Youtube stops using it... it will die.

@AbrahamVanHelpsing exactly.

The cascading effect will kill it.
