9:00 PM
@Allan it wasn't that awesome @Allan GET OVER IT!

Hello

@TheX new pic :O
hi btw

new pic?

@TheX you have a new picture. I think cause I don't recognize it...

Oh... well if you mean like 2 months new then yeah I guess I do

9:17 PM
good night all

Good night

9:34 PM
Maximize to physical screen http://bit.ly/ni6JpO #compiz

9:55 PM
Smart line numbering:

@GeorgeEdison I can turn that off, right?
(not to take away from the engineering excellence) :-)

Word wrap you mean?

You can... and [all together now] "on a per-filetype basis!"
Sound good?

Absolutely perfect, as always
my word, the huge tabs look really awful :D

10:04 PM
Don't worry... tab width can be adjusted.

@GeorgeEdison I don't know enough about html, only that gedit does it differently, but: is the <!doctype html> line supposed to look like this?

hello

here's gedit
@TheX hello :-)

hows it going

very well indeed thanks :-)
yourself?

10:06 PM
@StefanoPalazzo Well... it doesn't actually recognize DOCTYPE's yet.

not to bad.
just eating supper

@GeorgeEdison ah okay. I assume they're a bit like comments? so anything that matches <!.*> will be one colour?

Q: Install a software with ./configure.

GTylerI am trying to install a new software. After I unzipped it and moved it to the path, I tried usind ./configure. However, it gave me: bash: ./configure: No such file or directory. What should I do? Thank you.

Yup, eventually comments will be added.

have you thought about different highlighting for the different versions of HTML and CSS?
It'd be pretty cool if I could tell by the colours that I'm mixing html5 with html4
or if I'm using a CSS attribute that's not available in css2, or something

10:15 PM
@StefanoPalazzo That would be neat...
...but it would be a feature that would require a lot of parsing.

@GeorgeEdison I'm thinking you could have a little pop-up menu at the bottom of the editor, to select your version of the current language
you'll probably only have to change lists of keywords in many cases
(e.g. move "print" from "keywords" to "builtins" for python 3000)

10:27 PM
Right.

10:39 PM
This is ridiculous!
Every time I push shift, the Unity panel jumps in.
This makes it impossible to shift+click stuff in the corner.

10:59 PM
hey'ta!
(hi all)
hi @TheX! @Allan haven't seen you here in a while, wb :D

@RolandTaylor Just answered my 100 question thought id hang for a bit

oh nice, congrats :)

@RolandTaylor 2buntu.com/?p=1279
Forgot to categorise it 0.o
You know I didn't know there was so much comedy potential in linux

11:14 PM
@Allan :D

@RolandTaylor If you want to do that video I would put a warning before hand like "may contain efficient use of processing power"

lolol
Good plan :D
Will give me a reason to use tibesti + openshot >:)

@RolandTaylor Heard of any oops issues with the 39 kernel (engages serious mode)
thinking of going back to 35 see if it helps

oops issues?
You mean power management problems?

no kernel oops every now and again I get a crash to the log in another shell and it shows a kernel oops basically a bunch of Wookee with an oops at the beginning

11:29 PM
oh that oops
I haven't had any problems with it so far, nor have I heard of anything.
Have you tried say .38? It might be a bug with .39 on your hardware.

@RolandTaylor yeh did I hear something about linux 3 hope there not getting the chrome ff bug

@Allan I sure hope not too... it seems some things have been slipping through recently that are causing fringe-type issues, but if you add a bunch of fringes up you'll get trouble :/

@RolandTaylor like a whole tv series en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fringe_(TV_series)

hi

11:37 PM
It would suck big time if Ubuntu was getting better only for linux to drop the ball
@TheX What the hell is your avatar x

@Allan a video game called Animal Crossing: City Folk

hey :D
lol I thought it was Zelda

@TheX O.0

Actually My dude is dressed up as Link.

OHHH

11:43 PM

ooh, only 5 more rep to the 75% mark of me being able to edit without peer review xD

Everyone needs peer review

@Allan yes, but I only edit to remove offensive content or things that are not needed in answers
lol breezy xD

@TheEvilPhoenix WITH FIIIIREEE

KILL IT!!!! WITH FIRE!!!!!!!!!!!!! engulfs the room in flames
@Allan FYI: NEVER say "WITH FIRE!!!!" around me...
it USUALLY results in me actually lighting something on fire on AskUbuntu
i seriously only need 5 rep to be at 1500 rep?
wow

@TheEvilPhoenix Well yknow phoenix what can I say well chosen name

11:51 PM
:P
combining "Evil" and "Phoenix" makes flaming death from above a reality xD
you should have seen one guy... my global rep SE wide was 2666 and he was all like "HE'S SO EVIL, HE NEEDS A 2 BEFORE THE 666!"
:P
has anyone seen my rage against the windows user image?

i forget where i uploaded it to, but I have the image link somewhere on here

@TheEvilPhoenix that was me

@RolandTaylor ah

11:55 PM
hehe, that was kinda epic :P
yep
that one

i've actually had this happen in my mind, strangely enough:
someone was like "Oh, you're a Linux user... I don't like Linux users because they're all computer nerds with no life"
if my rage was embodied in an explosion, that's what woulda happened :P
wow... i seriously have 4 emails registered on my lp account?

lol
I made that a long time ago
(sorta random)
