To be clear about Shog: he didn’t know the GoFundMe was coming. He didn’t know i would do that. I spoke to him the night before it started and found out several things, but the relevant one was they were going to give him 8 weeks severance with onerous conditions for 10 years work
also Jon Ericson wrote jlericson.com/2020/01/17/leaving_stack.html which is quite revealing

@PaulWhiteReinstateMonica Why a question of 2013 with 33 upvotes appears now in the close queue?
Sorry, I've misread the date
But yet do not understand why it appears in the review queue,

Someone cast a fresh close vote
So just the usual process

Yep, I can see the votes history

@McNets The bit you can see just shows how reviewers voted, you can't see who cast votes outside of review (which obviously includes the first vote to close)

Laurenz Albe reviewed this Jan 13 at 22:39: Close

Yes exactly. That was not the first vote to close that started the review.

11:02 AM
@PaulWhiteReinstateMonica I suppose this is the first close vote

no?

Ok

Votes are mostly private

11:03 AM
Sounds fair

The review list shows 3 votes to close, but the question shows close (4)
So even though review is completed, the question might still be closed by one more vote
It just wouldn't come via review

ok, thank you @PaulWhiteReinstateMonica

I VtC'd it (to finish off the process) and have now voted to re-open it, since it seems valuable to me, and the answer is good

1:58 PM
@MaxVernon may I know why VtC and then reopen it again?

The close clears it from the review queue and also allowed me to then vote to reopen it.
It was a mercy-killing if you will, with intemt to resurrect

2:16 PM
@MaxVernon ok

3 hours later…
4:47 PM
@McNets it was on hnq which might explain the voting

5:20 PM
@McNets Also, it's not from 2013, it's from Monday this week
@MaxVernon As Paul said, the review had already been completed. Once McNets cast the third vote to keep it open, it was out of the review queue.
But seeing four close votes on a question can certainly be annoying, that I can understand

@AndriyM yes, as I said, I've misread the date

@McNets Oh, you did say that, and it was immediately afterwards, too. Sorry

GOOD SATURDAY, @AndriyM

7:12 PM
@AndriyM no worries
