How can I find out if the current in my circuit exceeded a particular limit?

Ammeter just shows you instantaneous current...

@deostroll . use oscilloscope. A USB oscilloscope can be relatively inexpensive.
A one ohm resistor and oscilloscope makes a nice ammeter

Ok so which would last longer in an industrial setting... a cap rated for 2kHr@85c, or 1kHr@105c?
Envision ambient to get to 60c max.
