@kalina I always wondered if German has a word for those individuals that confirm the stereotype so well they almost fall into an arch-stereotype group. I figure they mus, because, well - BMW is a German company and look at the drivers :-)
hey @RоryMcCune watching through all those videos... I have a q - was Macho Man (and the village people in general) a gay pride anthem at the time, or did that just get adopted later?
like, was it intended that way? cuz it is like dripping with it.
I get very frustrated when clients want a full test, but don't want to turn off their IDS or WAF systems. I don't have time to figure out all the bypasses! The bad guys do!
@HamZa true i was thinking this also, but normally 3 days would not be enough to get around that, 3 days being the average amount of time you have with a clients system
@Matthew yeah that is lame, especially if they don't realise they have one/know how to turn it off...
@HamZa testing is usually charged per day of effort, rates are very variable depending on country, so the cost is number of days effort based. Typically unauthenticated web apps would be 1-2 days, authenticated anywhere from 3-10 with 4-5 being common for reasonably complex but not huge. External/Internal Inf is generally done based on number of live IPs to be reviewed
@HamZa this varies a lot. I ran a series of pen tests against a couple of thousand web apps a company had, over a couple of years, and they got an amazing bulk discount :-)
@HamZa tricky one that. I actually find good dev work quite rewarding compared to a lot of testing, however a lot of corporate dev jobs do not seem to involve good dev work
@Matthew absolutely, I've done a fair few different ones (infosec analyst, infosec consultant, tester etc) but even then lots of others to try, quite a few that are new professions like all the threat analysis stuff and blue team stuff that gets done now
@RоryMcCune Next year I will be graduating with a bachelor. My current plan is to work as a dev and learn some sec alongside. It seems interesting to become a bounty hunter but shooting in the dark and hoping to find a jackpot bug seems a bit risky.
@Simon il summarise it for you: 80s music, the second ronnie died, @AviD admitted his undying love for me, cat pictures lots and lots of cat pictures annnndddd that is pretty much todays internet
There's a company called KairosPlanet that claims it offers 100% anonymous internet. They also offer cloud data storage, mail, phone.
They say:
Encryption and decryption of data is performed only at a client side
using individual private keys. Information is transferred to the
network an...
@silverpenguin ahh, you probably shouldn't talk too much about that online then :) , if it were at all regulatory in nature the company would likely be in legal bother if it were discovered... (either them paying you off, or the original issue)
ovid if you were slightly competent, you would give the room owner back rights back to roro, and would remove oszi's to let roro decide if he deserves the rights or not.
