'Course since it's so hugely popular there's probably a significant percentage of people who got the degree, but never actually pursued the career, that are throwing off the average.
@LucasKauffman It also depends highly on where you are. The SF area, for example, will easily net you well above that. It's also fucking redonculously expensive to live there.
Though from the NPR program, if you major in any petroleum engineering program, you'll probably be recruited before you graduate at a salary over $100k starting
@LucasKauffman Housing really is the biggest part, too. The house I paid 170k USD for here is pretty equivalent to a house I know of just outside of Edinburgh that was about 500k GBP.
@RoryAlsop I can also find some here in Belgium, but it's a nightmare to maintain them as you are not allowed to change anything on them because they are considered "cultural heritage"
@TildalWave Yeah but my maximum age during the 80s was 2, so, a) I don't remember anything because of biology and b) legally, I was not responsible for anything that happened during that period.
