@kalina you'd need to be more specific to get recommendations. what's important, processing power, memory req. (e.g. do you need more than 8GB) storage req. (large required amount that would preclude SSDs), portability/weight importance, specific physical connector requirements, glossy/matt screen preferences, touchscreen good/bad/indifferent

it's so I can play games on airplanes

with maybe a tiny bit of music creation if I get stuck in the middle of nowhere with no other options available

@RоryMcCune Tbh, it's hard to beat Apple for most of those requirements. Unless you 1) Need things like Ethernet ports and are unwilling to carry around adapters, 2) Wants a touchscreen or 3) Has an irrational hatred of Apple products.
