@Iain If I recall the calculations correctly, you get more bittering out of a given amount of hops if there's more malt in the boil. And more malt in the boil translates to more alcohol in the final product (up to about 8%)
I should note, I don't have a graph (will generate one later), but attaching the same drive to another controller (there's a LSI SAS controller in it too) yields a flat 140MBps
@ChrisS I seem to remember hearing years ago that some of the early nvidia motherboard chipsets had various issues with the SATA controller, but I can't seem to find it now (it's too old, I guess). If it were me, I'd probably keep the cash and buy a new motherboard with it.
@MichaelHampton Those seem to work quite nicely for the 3-10 person workplace, or as a small branch office server. But for heavy lifting, they're not recommended or meant for it.
@JoelESalas I get that sometimes too. Seems to get stuck in loops every once a while, especially after several hours of listening to the same station. Smacking my phone with my penis for a few minutes usually fixes it, or in situations where I can't give the phone a good penis-smacking, changing the station for a while helps too.
@HopelessN00b I think the problem with Pandora is the music-associating algorithm. It's not interested in finding you new songs SIMILAR to what you like, it's interested in finding The Perfect Song, which by definition is convergent on 3-4 songs

What about the fact that all these kind of questions get upvoted to the moon, even if 5 people do decide to close them? Looks to me like the community is split or schizophrenic on the issue.
And honestly, the most useful questions on here are that kind of subjective, a-little-too-broad, closed or "should be closed" that we (for whatever reason) look the other way on or reopen after being closed via voting.
@Cole Depends who you ask, but I'm mainly a Windows/ESX sysadmin. With a little networking, some engineering/architecture and some assistance to the helldesk thrown in to keep things interesting and prevent me from liking my job too much.
@HopelessN00b They're not bad questions they just don't really lend themselves to good answers - just like best practices, there should be one, but there isn't because everyone has their own.
@Iain Well, that's where the SE philosophy is wrong, frankly. The questions that are most useful, or useful to a wider audience are inherently broad. Questions with One True Answer that's objective are generally only applicable to one specific situation. You want questions and answers that apply more broadly, you're looking for questions that are more broad, by definition, and by extension of that broadness, are also subjective.
Which are better and which are worse, should be pretty easily determined by the votes on each.
@HopelessN00b Like I said in the comments on that meta question, I think we need to change the test to "Can I write a good answer that will have long-term value?" rather than "Is there One True Answer" / "Is this just asking for a list-of-things?"

@Cole Why the hurry? CCNA teaches you alot of stuff that MCSE probably doesn't teach you, but will assume that you know.. the old MCSE 2000 infrastructure exam was a nightmare for those who didn't have a solid TCP/IP understanding

If you put forth some serious effort, and I mean lab shit out with GNS3, and study a couple hours each night, you could take the CCNA exam within 4-5 weeks

We had an aircon failure and everything shut down as it should have, but I have two SSD's that are now totally dead. I can only assume they overheated or melted or someshit.
It was almost 40 degrees outside when the aircon failed, which I don't think helped the situation
@MarkHenderson surprising, there was absolutely no warning - mine was an OCZ vertex 2 just about 12 months old - they replaced it without quibble in less than a week
