just remember why you study and focus in there

that's it, I don't have ANY industry experience

but Im one of those that really like the academic inviroment

you have to keep your eyes very oipen tough

industry could be very fast and demanding

between your experience expectations and getting a nice pay check you could just never return to college

so don't get too attach to indusry either while you get your experiencie, remember you are still learning

these are all importante choices that you really have to fhink about and accept they will affect your life very much for at least 5 years

o hey I feel lucky that I LOVE this line of work (as we all do) so I'm always open to learning

Exactly. You might want to compare models to be sure, but the 'Extreme' versions tend ot be overstacked on ports and not much else. They all support the same CPU/RAM configs.

I put an OCZ vertex 2 in my MBP recently, I do like it but I don't think it's improved the overall speed that much, loading VMWare Fusion is much quicker though

I'm liking the X25-M I've got in mine at home, but I suppose it's the responsiveness more than overall speed, that I like.

If you're going for the big SATAs, the WD Caviar Black seem to be going down well.

no, it's about a year old, and while I totally love the tech of thunderbolt/lightpeak there's nothing for it to use right now, it'll be very handy in about a year or two

I will be completely sold on that tech when it allows me to use an external graphics card with a laptop.

there will be TB-connected PCIe card expansion boxes but I'm not sure they'd support a decent enough speed for good 3D GPUs as the bus is only 10Gbps either way
