My linux CentOS server has been compromised lately (rootkit). Some files attributes have been changed, for example the command :
lsattr /bin/ls
gives

How cand I use find command to list all files on system that have attributes set to s---ia------- instead of ----------...
Don't worry, @ewwhite, we had the issue with staff "storing" stuff in their "Deleted Items". A while back we enforced deletion of items older than two weeks which of course narked a lot of people.
I don't understand why people would save files in a bin? Because they don't know how to create folders?

I've 2 users here, both kinda old dinosaurs, one keeps EVERYTHING and usually multiple copies, his PST +archive is over 10gig, the other deletes EVERYTHING after he's printed/read/replied... Even his Sent Items :/

The FreeBSD box has a six-year-old version of rsync which uses an older protocol version. You can force the new version of rsync to use the old protocol by adding --protocol=29 to your rsync command.

Win7 RSAT definitely works for 2012 Servers, but limited to the features available in Win2008 for the most part. I don't think all the new Hyper-V stuff can be configured by a Win7 computer (I haven't tried myself, just what others have said)

Frankly, this would suit our agency's wants fairly well. I frequently get requests from staff and middle managers for storage of and setup for streaming video to remote sites for training and client interviews. Right up until we start talking money, of course.
I always love how non-Brits assume how we live over here, imagining tea parties, butlers, 'foggy london' (watch the start of the Cameron/Letterman interview) etc., when that mess of a house is far closer to reality for most than they'd imagine

@Adrian talking of shitty IT budgets I had a call off an agent last month asking if I was interested in some design/deployment work (non-VoD) at a fairly local to me office of a large insurance company. This is a >£1b/pa revenue company and after speaking with this guy it became apparent that their entire IT was about 9 guys doing every kind of job, all supporting 24x365 and with a few rented racks at a colo - their whole budget must have been <£1m at most - that staggers me

We're about 26M and we barely skate through on the financial auditing and the boss probably thanks his lucky stars that nobody audits our medical/clinical mgmt. software.
