@FreeMan: Disheartening and infurating: Being trolled left and right, comments sections being abused to smithereens, competing arguments aren't posted as answers... and the trolled is the one who gets to "cool down". (Even if it ain't the reason, the statements are still true.) And I do hope it was not the word "shit" that wasn't directed at anyone.

@ymb1 if anyone feels trolled they can report that to us moderators. being trolled is no excuse to behave against SE's code of conduct.

It's surprising that people can find things to get upset over while discussing aerodynamics.

That had an awful lot of fighting, trolling and nastiness for a while

I fully sympathize with the trolled party not realizing they're being trolled. (That's the definition of trolling – baiting). I'd opt for obliterating said comments sections, and ask those with differing views to post their own answers and stop engaging in this behavior (after all using the answer box is free of charge).
