you can try a format to clear up the damage, but theres nothing you can do about a misaligned arm. Unless you have spare parts and a clean room handy..

@FasihKhatib Well, they used to allow these questions in the beginning, and some sites – to some extent – still keep lists of books, but those would be better suited for a tag wiki or something.
@FasihKhatib Not much to "learn" about XML, really. You're not going to use lots of XML anyway these days, other than for heavyweight web services (SOAP) or semantic web stuff.
@DanielBeck No one's ever used Python there. For the retrieval courses, this semester they switched from Java to R (and MATLAB for multimedia retrieval).
