@unNaturhal The letters are rather arbitrary. From recovery, C:\ will be the bootloader's partition (if it can find one). If it's found a bootloader's partition, the OS partition is usually pushed to D:\
When you set the partition in bcdedit, it will display the letter that is currently assigned to the volume. The actual stored value is the volume GUID.
When I want to go back to upper level directory in Linux by typing cd .., I typo-ed cd //. To my great surprise, no errors are reported. What's more the prompt becomes username@hostname://$. ls indicates that I'm now at root directory.

Everyone, please take a moment to think about the applicability of the default comment templates before posting them. Complaining about link-only answers that should include the essential parts of the answer here and provide the link for reference isn't useful when the link is to i.stack.imgur.com, or to a product web site. For the latter, it'd be much better if you took the time to link to this meta topic instead.
I think the problem occurs when people see that an answer that was posted a long time ago is being comented for low quality today, years after any activity on them answers....
another thing that I noticed... if we are voting to delete things, why leave a comment on it if it will be probably deleted anyway?
Chipping in to this discussion about not flagging blatantly wrong answers, what about answers that provide links that are now completely dead? Are those nuke-flag worthy? @Sathya @slhck
@diogo - if you flag for a broken link, try looking if you could replace the link with a working one, or if the link is not essential to the answer, just remove it. Then there's no need to flag, because we can't do anything else :)

No doubt. :) I like it too. I do a lot of trance, so it's comfortable for me, but now and then I try to stretch myself a bit. The Machine was a real exercise for me. Totally different than most anything else I've ever done. Not sure if I'm fully satisfied with it but it was fun.

So far as I know, SSDs have been very finnicky in terms of stability due to controller bugs. Though I think it's getting better, it was pretty bad, ya.
