@JourneymanGeek I didn't even know that existed before buying this screen. I still thought dual-link means you need 2 cables (or at least 2 outputs on you card).
Gah, now that I work in the domain name industry, I'm really tempted to register gimmick domain names that could be valuable one day. lol.
BTW, has anyone ever used Bazaar as a version control system? I keep hearing that you don't need it installed on a remote server to push to that remote server. But I'm not finding any clear examples on how to do that.
I had my Mac ready for my triple boot... Went to go install Windows 7
I had a partition the same size as before, so I was just going to do a System Image Restore, but it killed my partition table, and my Mac side isn't being read anymore
I would like an ISO, ideally, as my disks are gone since the move :(
I'm in a NEW Windows 7 install right now, and need to hold the <kbd>Option</kbd> key during boot up, type in my EFI password, THEN select the Windows partition, even though it's the only partition the system sees right now
well i have access to a 10.6 disk, but it wouldn't be any more legal for me to send you an ISO than it would be for you to find any of the many widely available public venues to do the same
@JourneymanGeek A customer called in the other day because he was having trouble connecting via FTP to his web hosting/server. Turns out he was using an FTP client built for windows 2000 on his windows vista PC... It ran, but it didn't work.
Delete, delete, delete, delete... Sadly my keyboard shortcuts don't work for the automatic comments yet, perhaps I might just make it automatically pick "no comment" as I have auto review comments anyway.
Many users posting crap, not that many willing to clean up, so the crap levels stay high.
Close vote reviews are an average of 3x the reviews per SO user over the same ranked SU user. Compared to the size difference of SO und SU, that's not enough.
@slhck That is the reason why I wondered about the comment system to posts that are suposed to be deleted a little time after reviewed... But I agree, if user don't really exists, I will not post any comment on delete recomendation...
I didn't downvote. My guess would be lack of research shown by you. (also: stop calling me "Sir". We're all peers here, not supervisors) — Sathya3 mins ago
Like Mehper mentioned, Facebook doesn't+ allow you to apply custom formatting on comments. Addons and other browser extensions apply formatting only at a client level - meaning that for the special formatting to been by others, they'll also have to make use of the custom stylesheet that you're u...
Maybe using the editor as a framework for specialized bundles created for specific customer will be a business model that works, but I'm not holding my breath.
Let's just say I'm glad I paid for Sublime Text 2 and now need to make the switch complete on my Mac as well.
@DanielBeck > Macros, third-party add-ins, and VBA support will all be dropped from the Office 2013 RT edition, and one source says a "small number" of other features have also been removed.
Many probably don't even know they are, they just use what they're provided by IT, which is a heavily customized Office package.
VxWorks, developed by Wind River Systems (which was acquired by Intel), is a real-time operating system used in a huge number of embedded systems. The previous Mars rovers (Sojourner, Spirit, Opportunity), Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter, and the SpaceX Dragon spacecraft all use VxWorks. VxWorks also powers BMW iDrive, the Apache Longbow helicopter, and the Apple Airport Extreme and Linksys WRT54G routers (really).
hi, tomorrow I'm going to purchase laptop can someone suggest me the best laptop configuration for java programming and eclipse. i3 processor or i5 processor, RAM 2 GB or 4/8GB , any suggestions ?
one quick question, never mind . Should the windows7 OS be a 32 bit or 64 bit in my case ? I don't understand the difference in terms of memory consumption . Which one suits my case
@raghav In short, you need 64 bits to use your 8gb of ram. It's not a matter of memory consumption, it's simply that the system can't use more than 3,something gb of memory with 32 bits
What are the differences between 32-bit and 64-bit systems?
If you have used both of them, what kind of sharp differences have you experienced?
Would it be a problem to use 32-bit programs on 64-bit systems in some cases?
64 bit to be able to use the larger amount of RAM, you have no benefit for using 32 bit except if you have applications which will only work under 32 bit
To illustrate my problem, Imagine I have 8GB RAM and i3 processor, so far so good , i don't understand logic of using 64 bit os to this configuration, why is it not recommended to use 32 bit os.
We have some screens which run, some which seem to work 'ok', others crash randomly, others run but then won't connect to the SQL server
others refuse to open at all
it's odd as they're all written by the same company, all connect to the same SQL source and the .exe's are cached locally
our external software guys have always said to steer away from 64 bit, stating 'it was never programmed in a 64 bit environment', but I hear some of their current builds (non-stable) have at least been tested on 64bit. I've no idea if they're 100% compatible or we'll even see them as we're using a highly customised version of their default package.
It was developed as a cinema ticket EPOS style system... We run a customised version for growing and selling plants!
The solution we use as full CRM, Sales, Accounting, Stock and Pricing... It was a fully functioning ERP solution... Before the ERP name was introduced
and on that note i'm going home to paint my garden fence lol
Hey guys I'm want to change my lapi battery and its a 4 yr old model so is it possible to get a new model battery which are giving a good backup (If any fit with my laptop model)?
