Thunderbolt 3 and USB 3.1 Gen2 ports, mDP, ethernet, plenty of I/O... a nice radiator/heatpipe setup in the back that isn't overpoweringly hot but keeps the modestly hungry GPU at reasonable thermals even when balancing the laptop on my knee while reclining in bed...

Definitely not a desktop replacement by any stretch, but more than suitable for ultra detail on last gen's games at 1080p or medium/high-ish on current gen's games, and should be fine for low-medium for next gen's games still at 1080p with decent (>30) FPS

Actually I installed patch command manually gnuwin32.sourceforge.net/packages/patch.htm

It was not required

I have msys64

I went there

in /usr/bin

I installed patch using pacman

pacman -Syuu patch in msys64

It installed patch in the same environment

so things started to work

@satibel I bet. But this behavior seems to have changed when we moved from 2012 to 2016. The host OS seems to reserve far more memory

We used to run the single guest on that host with 10 GB of RAM. Now it won't start with anything more than 8

And the additional 512 MB guest also doesn't start

And I can't shut down the 8 GB SBS because everyone is relying on it which is why we're doing the whole migration in the first place

it's not great for big applications, but for a quick and somewhat good looking program it does it's job.
