1:05 PM
i do not understand the current questionable content storyline

Did you know if citrix is drawing a window off screen, you can use alt+space, then m, to move it?
even though when you right click the taskbar it doesn't show the move dialog?

did you know citrix over charges for a solution that is pre-baked into windows server

@Burgi ??

@Burgi the one with bubbles?

@JourneymanGeek yeah

1:07 PM
Basically Corpse witch essentially has her under her thumb cause she holds the key to a past memory
Not sure who the robots in black are.

i got that but where did this black and white guy come from?

@Burgi we'll find out soon
I think that's the AI equivilent of MIBs
and they're mysterious on purpose for now

he just popped up
maybe i missed an episode

naw
NO ONE knows who she is
or he

1:12 PM
:)

> Being a Dog: Following the Dog into a World of Smell, Alexandra Horowitz.
@JourneymanGeek essential reading?

@Burgi ??

Terminal services are pre-baked into server 2008
you are paying citrix for the pleasure of them co-opting the existing services
in server 2003 it was a valid thing

for how many users?

not sure

1:17 PM
and which applications?

windows desktop, office, etc

welp, there must be some downside lol

not that i could see
i could be wrong but i my experience i couldn't see the point in citrix beyond server 2003

1:42 PM
i'M SURE soeone here can spread some light for us
/me yawns

i've been waiting for someone to jump in

@Burgi me jumps in. "halp I'm drowning!" \o/

Bob
floof

yawn, either change this file using something other than php (and so less memory usage), or filter the file to only load like 300 rows at a time, convert them, add them to the csv, and carry on

@djsmiley2k something other than PHP ;p

1:50 PM
:D
i'm going to be calling it from php tho :O

@djsmiley2k Post it on codegolf.stackexchange.com and you will get plenty of smaller versions :)

:D
the problem is the lib handing the data tho @DavidPostill
because xls is urrrgh
You want to read any row? Gotta load the entire file!

2:15 PM
If it's XLSX, you could conceivably treat it as a ZIP and manually poke around in the XML
That would be a huge pain to implement but might be faster than loading the whole thing

yeah, it's not
anyway I've not got time to even look at it today so far, so flippin busy :/

Bob
2:36 PM
@BenN sounds like good ol' BIFF XLS :P

2:56 PM
@DavidPostill tempted to rewrite the answer to superuser.com/questions/1171021/… with screenshots etc...

@djsmiley2k I would write your own answer, with screenshots etc :)

@BenN OpenXML SDK does that I think
or can, anyway

3:09 PM
ffs

3:25 PM
minion is being super grumpy about this email form task i've set him

you should give him a scooby snack once he's done

Bob
@allquixotic It does, but there's better libraries for most languages.

@JourneymanGeek i don't think he deserves one with all the phantom roadblocks he has been throwing at me

give him a slap
and remind him he's a ejit
BUT DON'T MURDER HIM!!
We don't do that here.
@Dog you gone doctors yet?

@djsmiley2k he is banned

3:38 PM
who's banned

no-one

nevermind
good bye
happy birthday burgi?

thanks :)

Bob
@Dog uhmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
yea please get to a hospital -_-

Was the ban for their own health?!

3:53 PM
yes
4 hours ago, by Journeyman Geek
@Dog I've suspended you for 24 hours. If you survive, hopefully, you'll come back. Do get medical attention if you're caughing blood. Its a dour way to die.

fracking pc crashed

Does anyone know how to send files via post requests from wget?

4:12 PM
omg, this chat room is uber mad
8
so fun

my minion just apologised for being an arse

@JourneymanGeek Gold star.
@Burgi yey
@Rahul2001 I was with you, until you said 'from wget?'
‘--post-file’ is not for transmitting files as form attachments: those must appear as key=value data (with appropriate percent-coding) just like everything else.
key=data value? :/

A: Linux command line tool for uploading files over HTTP as multipart/form-data?

TobuUse curl: curl -F "file=@localfile;filename=nameinpost" url.com

4:38 PM
btw: I had the norovirus.. what cured me was charcol pills.. and vitamin c.
@Dog: Activated Charcoal pills and vitamin C cured me.

@djsmiley2k Curl is... ugh

Hey, I know of a really neat command-line utility that can do this pretty easily...

5:02 PM
@BenN would it involve a shell that is powerful?
2

Very powerful

5:13 PM
fracking BSOD

5:25 PM
arugh
3rd line go 'don't pass anything over to our queue without calling it through'
you call them, 'you could of left this til tomorrow'
hmmm no I couldn't, because of the silly SLA's you place on us XD
@Burgi There is a wget solution on there too but I found the curl one funny

hopefully these nvidia drivers help stop the BSODs

A: How can I remove malicious spyware, malware, adware, viruses, trojans or rootkits from my PC?

MoabFollow the order given below to disinfect your PC On a PC that is not infected, make a boot AV disc then boot from the disc on the Infected PC and scan the hard drive, remove any infections it finds. I prefer the Windows Defender Offline boot CD/USB because it can remove boot sector viruses, se...

hard locked my system yesterday using vbox :/
oh god what am I doing
looking at the source for our monitoring page for the phones

.@milosivanovic Only on the process, not the OS in this case.

there's a bit of a ajax call which sets your 'reason code' when you click lunch, etc
So I can take that, and call any code I'd like instead...
heh
                            success: function()
                            {

6:45 PM
heyya
I'm looking for someone good with grep
having trouble reading some regex I believe

what are you parsing and whats the example, and whats the desired output.
ugh conference call.. brb

stackoverflow.com/a/25351743/4844191 the [0-9.]{7,15} part.. why did the person put [0-9.] and not [0-255.]?
since an IP would start at 1 up to 255
or.. does it mean each character is from 0 to 9?
if so, then if there was an ip such as 999.99.99.99 would be output as well

7:38 PM
oooooh!!!!!!!!!!
when did SO get a new design?

welp, repasted the CPU. I'll have to get it to cure, though.

I assume that's what you're seeing; it's not showing up for me

Temperatures were much higher than expected in the beginning; however, the real reason is the fan speed.

its nice
very clean
@BenN it turns i'm seeing it because i have low rep on SO

8:38 PM
@BobEbert It means any character in the range 0-9, followed by . and repeated between 7 and 15 times. It will match 1.1.1.1 up to 999.999.999.999. See regexr.com/3f4u5. Hover over the parts of the regexp to see the details.

The previous testing was A-B testing - I suppose the latest one could be as well.
