@DavidPostill I personally don't see an issue with using my full name because I try to be a good person and act with accountability online just as much as in-person, so worst case scenario the internet archives my stupid opinions
@Nick That depends on how you look at it I guess, yes those things are terrible, but as long as you are alive you have the opportunity as an actor to make an attempt at making your situation better
@ThatBrazilianGuy I would trust Brazilians, but I'm afraid that most Brazilians are just millions of mosquitoes using a computer to pretend to be people on the internet

I've been trying to design a charging system for a small robot powered by a 2S 20C lithium polymer (LiPo) battery. Were I to trust everything I read online, I would believe that the LiPo will kill me in my sleep and steal my life savings. The common advice I read, if you are brave enough to use L...
@ThatBrazilianGuy I don't think many tourists realize that people other than tourists live in popular cities and that people actually have to go about their daily lives there
I had that a lot when living in Venice/Santa Monica, people would stop dead in the middle of the street to take photos outside of a famous location when normal people just want to go there to get a damn morning coffee
@AndreyErick Go to the Details tab, select Hardware IDs, and look up the numbers
Do you know what the device is?
> In order to save time, once we receive this returned item, we will send it out immediately via other shipping method , please know this, we noticed this information to avoid unnessary misundestanding, hope you understand this,
I am so confused.
I... don't think I asked for a refund?
And that was almost an hour before it was shipped out via DHL...
@Boris_yo Yea, you'll need to reduce used space. From there, your options are to independently shrink then clone, or use a program that can do both in one operation.
@Bob I mean, I know what the device is, but it's in the wrong category, it's a bluetooth dongle I got about 7 years ago, when I click to update it and follow the steps to manually choose the updated driver, it only shows the drivers for that category, not for all category, like it would be if it was in the category "Unknown Devices"
I personally used Acronis Disk Director (12), which worked very well (from their WinPE boot environment). But it's not free, if that's what you're looking for.
I wonder if their trial version lets you create the boot media...
@Bob That still doesn't work, it only shows the drivers for that specific category, even though I changed the "Have Disk" option folder to C:\Windows\INF
Yes, I uninstalled it a few times, when I reconnect the dongle, Windows shows up the device configuration, but after that it appears in this same category.
I chose to install the driver for SCP Toolkit PlayStation 3 Controller bluetooth dongle, after that it only shows up in this category of USB's, not Bluetooth devices, and that doesn't give me the device mac address to pair the controller to the dongle
Maybe if I had the .INF and other necessary files for the driver I could update it, but I just can't find any generic bluetooth dongle driver
With respect to libel law in the UK: Given that the burden of proof is on the defendant, does this mean that someone can file a lawsuit for libel with minimal evidence and win a default judgment (at least theoretically) against the defendant?
I've inherited an old PC from my girlfriend's dad and when setting up the printer I got a bit of a surprise:
Two questions spring to mind here:
Why does Windows think my wireless keyboard is a toaster?
Why does Windows even have an icon for a toaster in the devices menu?
Reason 1
Because Microsoft made a toaster driver sample. In the sample there is the line <DeviceIconFile>Toaster.ico</DeviceIconFile> and there is a chance that your keyboard manufacturer took that sample.
Reason 2
Look at the back of the keyboard for some place to insert a slice of bread…

@Bob I am not sure how successful cloning will be but at least Windows 10 will be activated on HDD. Even if it won't I still have until 26 July to get free upgrade and can Windows 10 ISO and prepare bootable USB/CD using Media Creation tool. I think it allows for a clean boot and upgrade from there.
@Bob Now that I think of it, maybe I can copy Windows 7 installation from HDD to SSD and use bootable Media Creation tool that would locate install on SSD and proceed upgrading from there?
Chances are everyone else will be panick-downloading it next week too, but I got shit to do this weekend that involves my spare SSD's so I can't really
