Millennials are such an administrative pain. They had trigger 26 warnings today on an on-premises collaborative message board.

user226528
One of them had posted something dubbed "a picture of my ass" which was the picture of ... literally, an ass.

user226528
Others had followed up with replies like, "oh, what an ass!"

user226528
Judge me all you want but I didn't undo the automated redaction.

Judging by the comments here, lots of people are interested in Firefox 57. And one superuser is considering becoming a super drama queen.

user226528
That video game is ancient, isn't it?

it was released this month

is it about the micro transactions costing money?

if you want to know what it is about, then watch the video

14 minutes too long

user226528
7:44 PM
@tereško You sure? I played it years ago, around the time when Windows Vista came out.

@FleetCommand well ... I wonder were did you get your time machine: overclock3d.net/news/software/…

user226528
@tereško I see. I suspect it is a reboot.

user226528
Aha. Found this:

Star Wars: Battlefront is a series of first- and third-person shooter video games based on the Star Wars films. Players take the role of soldiers in either of two opposing armies in different time periods of the Star Wars universe. The series was launched in 2004 by LucasArts with Star Wars: Battlefront, developed by Pandemic Studios for LucasArts. The game received positive reviews and sold well. In 2005 Pandemic developed a sequel, Star Wars: Battlefront II, which was also critically and commercially successful. The games were followed by Star Wars Battlefront: Renegade Squadron (2007) and Star...

From steam, appently

7:50 PM
aaaaaand you have missed the fucking point

user226528
I liked the original Battlefront better than the original Battlefront II.

user226528
I spent a year playing that.

lol
eitherway, it's EA
i don't even want to give the video my views xD

user226528
Sure. That too.

user226528
The graphics look stunning but I wouldn't want to risk experiencing something similar to Command & Conquer fiasco.

user226528
8:09 PM
Riddle me this: If Star Wars: Battlefront II is an upcoming video game, how the hell does Wikipedia know about its full plot?

@djsmiley2k it's not a game review .. it's more of .. emm .. company review

8:20 PM
it's EA
I don't get why people flock to their games, then consistently complain about them xD

user226528
@djsmiley2k Video gaming could easily become an addiction, so like cocaine addiction, addicts flock to it and then complain about it.

8:35 PM
oh i'm addicted to gaming, but screw EA

-.- Quebec outlaws nudity in public pool locker rooms. Why must Quebec represent the worse in Canadians

8:52 PM
i... what
as long as they have some facitiles for changing seperately
why is it...
I don't evenm.

jesus why did microsoft rename the 'block' option to 'ignore' at live.com
all that does is make me think the block button has been moved the fuck some where else and is really misleading, IDIOTS

user226528
@djsmiley2k I'm staring that, because yeah, screw EA. :) But I meant real addiction.

now its just opned an email in a new window when I did not even tell it to

user226528
@CoderCat Oh, come now. You should by now have gotten used to Microsoft doing things for no reason whatsoever.

I dont think I can get used to it because I think in logical ways

user226528
8:59 PM
Or at least, you should have known that the real slogan of Microsoft is "One rename each day".

user226528
...well, I mean besides, "Cloud first, mobile ... eh."

hmm
OH now it says block again in some places

user226528
I remember I once saw a mock ad that read:
"Because windows break easily..."
"...DOORS..."
"Built on TNT technology".
"Sicromoft: Where the hell do you wanna go today?"

there is no 'where do you wanna go today' lol microsoft are dead as far as i'm concerned

user226528
“Where do you want to go today?” was the title of Microsoft’s 2nd global image advertising campaign. The broadcast, print and outdoor advertising campaign was launched in November 1994 through the advertising agency Wieden+Kennedy, the firm best known for its work on behalf of Nike, Inc.. The campaign, which The New York Times described as taking “a winsome, humanistic approach to demystifying technology”, had Microsoft spending $100 million through July 1995, of which $25 million would be spent during the holiday shopping season ending in December 1994. Tony Kaye directed a series of television...

anybody good with printers, my wifi printer only prints blank pages when there should be actual ink on them

user226528
Is there actual ink in the printer? If yes, try cleaning its printing head.

works fine by USB tho

user226528
Oh.

there is ink but if I clean the heads it it uses loads of ink
so im kinda refraining from doing that

I'm starting to dislike FF 57.0 already. Some of my favourite add-ons have stopped working as well as a bunch of monkey scripts (like the one that fixed the new topbar) :/

9:12 PM
use chrome at the minute, firefox kept making all my windows black but my cursor still changed when I unintentionally moused over a hyperlink
I hate computers and I dont know why I ever bothered learning about them

user226528
@DavidPostill Ditto. Although I've not installed it yet.

My niece says she wants to stay healthy so that she lives long enough to play Final Fantasy 100 with her grandchildren.

Excellent! By then, it may be made from a different studio though...

user226528
Yeah. By Circle Enix, she says.

morn
@DavidPostill ViolentMonkey and TamperMonkey are drop-in replacements for the old GreaseMonkey
the new GM is not completely script-compatible
I've switched to ViolentMonkey for now. old userscripts work fine

@Bob Thanks. Let me try that :)
@bob Does ViolentMonkey import the GM scripts already installed?

Bob
@DavidPostill unfortunately not :/
you can find them in the profile folder but I think I installed them from the original site to make sure updates work
@djsmiley2k what's a smart zoom
@bwDraco not really a good test: you should compare 56 to 57; 52 is much older and you're lumping pre-57 improvements in

Well, this is meant to be a test of improvements in recent months to validate Mozilla's claims.
Mozilla compared to version 52 in all of its marketing materials.
Hence, I compared to Firefox ESR 52.
(they compared to Firefox 52.0, while I used Firefox ESR 52.4.1, which shouldn't be much different in performance)
In all tests, fresh profiles were used with only minor changes that do not impact performance, and pages were reloaded several times to ensure that they were cached to their fullest extent for consistent results.
Measurement is from the time Reload All Tabs is clicked to the time the last tab finishes loading.

10:46 PM
@Bob ViolentMonkey look good. My nav bar fixes are now working again, as is FIRE (smokey script) :)
I will gradually install my non working scripts in ViolentMonkey as and when I'm sufficiently irritated.

Bob
