@Mast Then it's my turn to get involved.
picks up the phaser rifle from the table
@Xnero Let's use my point of being in the project for a VERY long time as a point of argument: Resubmitting your PR after someone who is a designated blacklist manager, which is a role not easily earned, is bad form, and is going to get rejected by myself for the reason of "Duplicate of previous submission, resubmitted in bad faith." Mast has been a long time blacklist manager for the project, and I agree with Mast's justification on the initial rejection.
While you are entitled to your opinions, you have to understand this, and I mean this in every 'well intended' way: your opinion is your own, but you do not have the right to use weak justification for why something should be included, and stating that a long time blacklist manager is outside of guidance that they themselves helped create over time is: (1) not conducive to civil discussion, (2) VERY bad form, and (3) very rude.
FURTHER, you tend to be exceptionally rude and demanding with your requests/comments. If you want to continue to contribute here and to the project, you need a radical reconditioning of how you interact with others.
You've acknowledged this in the past to our admins and to @Makyen before.
THIS TIME, you're reaching my 'less than tolerant' side, the same side that I tend to use heavily when people are violating IT Security policies at my clients' workplaces or at my FT job, and I get to swing the hammer for.
If you don't accept that blacklist managers are fluent in the 'guidance' because the Charcoal Organization Administrators believe they know best for what should or shouldn't be part of the blacklists or watchlists, then you should realize that the more you scrape against the high level members' opinions of Charcoal in an abrasive way, that will look very bad against you
and it may, ultimately, result in you getting forbidden from contribution in the future. Which we don't want to see.
Now, all this said, I strongly suggest you review the other PRs from others that have been accepted in the past, and reevaluate your evaluation of the 'guidelines'. Also, keep in mind that 'guidelines' are that - guidelines. There are legitimate reasons why the 'guidelines' are not hard rules.
and a Blacklist Manager can overrule the guidelines (or state that the submitted changes are NOT in line with the guidelines) and will be trusted for those opinions
Now, given this behavior, and your extremely abrasive demanding tone towards others...
@Xnero Until you improve your behavior and such, I'm outright rejecting you for rights in SmokeDetector for 'privileges'
you may own that 'channel' you're asking for privs in
but you aren't a moderator on the site, so unless a moderator on Travel explicitly asks you to have permissions, any requests for you to get permissions, unless Undo or Art overrule me or the administrators have a vote and quorum overrules me, will be rejected by me on the basis that I do not believe you are capable in the current mindsets and 'frame of behavior' you have to work with Smoke Detector privileges in a beneficial way.
