@Makyen RAM usage on the host
and CPU
pegged rebuilding the SA rules for my mail gateway on another container
Solar will run more effectively
so you might want to FO to Solar
since that's back up
TBH I consider Lunar a backup to Solar
and Supernova a backup to both when it actually behaves itself
so I'd say use Solar if you can
um.....
@Undo @Makyen Metasmokers: I... think MS is down

yeah when I forst was logging on it gave a MySQL client error
so maybe something weird behind the scenes
works now and I was able to failover Solar so :p
(Solar's got more RAM and CPU available than Lunar at the moment, actually... I need to fix that... hmm)

I've seen the SQL error pages and the Server"s bare metal pages. The SQL ones can come up when booting an instance (cruel world scenerio). Bare metal I've seen when the instance dies and exits it's startup script.

@tripleee I'm not seeing much improvement from a naive assumption that . followed by a space is a sentence break and not to cross it. I still need to filter only on the data collected from the point it was added tot he watchlist, but it looks like the current is 557/365/184/11 = 65.5% TP while not crossing word boundaries is 532/356/170/9 = 66.9% TP. The difference may be more when only looking at data since it was added to the watchlist, but that takes more work than a quick look.

CI on ced7b52 failed.

@SmokeDetector While the question specifically asks for an exe, so the first link doesn't really fulfill the question, the second link, which is to a SourceForge project, does fulfill that requirement.

@TetsuyaYamamoto we don't really know of course, but I would guess they might be just attempts to highlight text for display, perhaps on some blog platform
marketers also seem to have silly ideas for what would make sense to try in A/B testing
like "red background color increases click rate by 0.45%"
tangentially, this podcast has some vaguely interesting observations about iTunes chart cheaters operating out of Bangladesh darknetdiaries.com/episode/27
maybe the Indian pharma spammers from the Delhi region are similarly organized, independent operators making good money (for the region) rather than the image I hve been having of a boiler room full of slaves?

@tripleee I updated it to require that the post contains a link, reducing FP by 69%. It looses detection in titles and some TP, but retains the 8 TP detections where this was the only detection. Given that the intent of this watch was to detect posts like those 8 TP which are not otherwise detected, the change is a decent trade-off. After this change, adjusting to not span sentence boundaries (. followed by a space) had no significant benefit.

@tripleee - That was a great example of usage, it would be wonderful for an "Example of Usage" section for the Commands webpage. Basically: "why", "!!/bisect", then craft a regex to minimize the FPs - power, in the hands of a master; but otherwise a mess. ^ Really wasn't a good enough answer to end his post with a link to his site, saying 'check his blog' but not linking to a specific blog entry. Ultimately the answer will (ought to be) corrected by an edit, which I can't do.
OK. Thanks. Is there something to undo or erase?

CI on 7d990f2 succeeded.

@Rob run unwatch and again run watch .

@Rob Ask a code admin to run that for you. Use !!/whois code_admin to find out who's here.

@Rob thanks, though not sure how that could be condensed into a simple example for the Commands page

@Shree are you a code admin? --- And after a few tries have I done this correctly?

@Rob Yep .

@tripleee Travis issue fixed with a simple change, but it's getting slow... > travis-ci.org/Charcoal-SE/SmokeDetector/builds/477239871

Rob
It asks that you run the unwatch for me.

@iBug oh goof one, thanks
yeah, tests are hideously slow as of late

9:08 AM
@Rob There's no need for you to !!/unwatch at this point. Your !!/watch commands produce PRs. They are not directly merged. If you have a problem with one where the PR has not yet been merged, then you should go to GitHub and leave a comment on the PR and comment in chat so that nobody does !!/approve. In this case, the PR is already closed.

@Rob looks like somebody fixed it already

Rob
Thanks and sorry for the trouble. I believe it's all fixed now.

@tripleee it's too slow

ah yes, but downgrading seems like a poor solution

@thesecretmaster I've encountered a couple of issues with /search_fast: this search results in an error, but is OK when run through /search.
The other issue is that I get slightly different TP counts on this search vs. what I get from /search.
With /search_fast I see 321 TP and with /search it shows 322 TP. Both show the same numbers for Results, FP and NAA.

@tripleee so you think we'd stay and tolerate this slowness?

@Makyen Interesting: If I just click the link I provided, it works. If I copy the regex into the body field in the tab I tested the other search link in, then I get an error.
