The (hidden) "The Call of Midnight" instance last ran with a Post Scan Rate of 42.2996 (though it has benchmarked higher) while "teward/Lunar Eclipse" currently has a PSR of 5.25692 (1/2 the reported speed of ten hours ago). @SurajRao - They also changed/misspelled their username, "Ualwasy Win" instead of "Ualways Win" for whatever reason.

it doesnt answer what OP is asking..

Please join me in applying negative peer pressure toward low-rep 2100k user jhamon for forcing a grammatically incorrect (English isn't his first language), superfluous (additions aren't different from prior), technically wrong (his added code doesn't compile since it's a different language) regressions that make other parts of the answer incorrect, to my +203 upvoted answer. See: stackoverflow.com/posts/20937683/revisions and user: stackoverflow.com/users/3499626/jhamon

@SurajRao Post 1: This does not look like spam

@EricLeschinski pretty sure thats not what this chatroom is for...

The 2000 reputation unlocking is not a reliable indicator that a user is ready for the power to force regressions onto 200+ very highly upvoted answers from very highly upvoted users. So to some extent, Stackoverflow has to be policed by rational thinking actors.

Zoe
@EricLeschinski That's not how Stack Exchange works
Mod-flag one post, point to the revision(s, optionally of multiple questions), only do this if there's an actual pattern of abuse.

@EricLeschinski fwiw I wouldn't say they are "forcing" it. They've made one edit, no rollbacks or anything.

3:04 PM
I know what this chatroom is for Suraj, it's for spam, and I know this isn't spam, it's users with reputation and weilding that power in a destructive way.
I edited rather than rolled back. I should have straight up rolled back.

Forcing to me though is if the user then rolls back your rollback/edit

Also, I'm #10th worldwide on the stackoverflow review queue, so I'm a bit of ranking member, so my irritations should escalate to a level 5 tech nerd so I can have a redress of grievances.

Zoe
Good for you. You still don't assemble a mob to pressure a single user over one edit

this seems like trolling now ... level 5 tech nerd?

Zoe
Seconded ^

Rob
3:07 PM
Word of the month is ...

Also, you've actually kept part of the edit - not sure if you noticed. I think you're overreacting - it's only one edit

What's the protocol for 2000+ rep users who use their privilege to add grammatically incorrect technically wrong regressions to 200+ upvoted answers?

Zoe
@EricLeschinski For one edit, you tell them.
For a repeated pattern (where the editor ignores comments), you mod-flag

Well, what if I can only find one infraction, and I'm caffinated and blowing this way out of proportion? I should have some kind of button to make me feel better.

@EricLeschinski Yep, it's the rollback button

You just click that and move on

Rob
!

That's not gratifying at all. Such impudence must be punished.

Zoe
And kill it with fire?
Just roll back. It's one edit, and it wasn't re-done
If it ends up being a rollback war, mod-flag.

Yes, I need some kind of shocky stick so I can apply a negative reinforcement to a user I don't like.

[ SmokeDetector | MS ] Manually reported answer (94): how to secure only one url with spring security and permit all by prodip ghosal on stackoverflow.com

Zoe
Uh, what?

tpu- feedback received

The situation is handled, and the damage was undone, and I've deployed my tiny downvote, so I guess it's enough to raise awareness. There are 2000+ reputation stackoverflow users who are adding big regressions to highly upvoted answers, and if the original author isn't around to roll it back, it's permanent. So spreading awareness is good enough. Carry on.

Zoe
@EricLeschinski Hold on, you downvoted over an edit?

uhm....

@Zoe This is a special case. The user stackoverflow.com/users/4826457/suraj-rao?tab=activity is on some kind of edit answer binge. He's adding gramatically incorrect, wrong, breaking, regressions to 200+ answers.

@EricLeschinski flag for mod attention then
don't use downvotes as targeted retribution
because that's abuse of the system
such abuse is abuse on ALL SE sites
including SO

How do you suggest the user who does this be discouraged ?

3:17 PM
@EricLeschinski flag any of the user's posts for mod attention, explain it in the custom flag, and let the moderators handle it
this is the job of MOderators

I'm checking his activity feed, He's trying to get some kind of hat by editing 100 answers or something.

cc @Undo since you're an SO mod

Well then here I am, raising awareness to mods in the room. There's a user who can't speak english on a binge editing highly upvoted answers who are trying to score some kind of Winterbash hat.

@EricLeschinski you need to use SO mod flags
not just this room

Use flags.

Zoe
3:19 PM
^

@EricLeschinski Flag it for SO mod attention with a custom flag
then let THEM deal with it

@Undo That is a gratifying answer, I can go back through his 20+ answer edits today and flag them all.

@EricLeschinski only flag ONE OF THEM with a custom mod flag

Zoe
ninja'd

then explain it's against ALL their behavior
@Undo can you loan me the banstick please?

@EricLeschinski yeah, maybe just one flag. Usually a pain when people spread flags across a dozen posts for one issue

@EricLeschinski and don't go targeted downvoting the user - that's abusive and will likely earn you your own "negative reinforcement" against you by the mod teams.

20 flags could be justified if the 2000+ rep user is trying to go on an Edit-answer binge to score a winterbash hat.

er no.. that would get you one irritated mod

no that's just flag abuse

3:22 PM
No. You don't need that many flags. They are not more effective than one flag.
