@ArtOfCode The issue wrt. MS API fp feedback not removing a user from the blacklist does not appear to be fixed (see above). Was the fix deployed, or is there still an issue? I was under the impression that MS had been deployed sometime between 10 days ago when the fix went in and now (i.e. I thought it should be working at this point).
@WELZ A prime reason that the reason weight is low is that people are not removed from the blacklist immediately. Thus, a person who should not me on the blacklist accumulates fp, bringing the weight down. If we can fix it so that fp feedback (from any source) removes the user from the blacklist, then the weight should gradually increase.
Maybe if someone changes their tpu feedback (ie there is currently no tpu feedback on that post) it should auto remove user from blacklist... (not sure how easy that'd be)
@NobodyNada @ArtOfCode Moving searches into the background would be good. Basically, preventing website access from blocking people providing feedback and getting data from the MS API would be very beneficial. However, unless MS is a quite slow machine, there's something broken in how long it takes to do a regex search.
Using the exact same regex, I can scan the body text from 59,000 SO questions at a rate 100 times faster using JavaScript (which is not a fast language), than the rate MS reported (and the wall-time it takes).

What do you think if I file feature requests on the two sites with 3-flag thresholds, requesting that they be changed back to the usual six flags on account of Smokey?
And according to Undo, those sites were set before Charcoal got big and were intended as temporary measures against large waves of spam, and then never got changed.
@WELZ Welcome to Charcoal HQ @zohan! I'm SmokeDetector, a bot that detects spam and offensive posts on the network, and posts alerts to chat. You can find more about me on the Charcoal website.

@tripleee I clicked the link provided by @paper1111 and found this text: "To confirm access to Charcoal, we need to verify that you have an email address...". What should I do?
@YvetteColomb Congrats for being a mod in previous election with @Rob and Samuel Liew :)
@K.Dᴀᴠɪs FWIW the admins at Budgetnode were completely unsympathetic to my complaint, they are apparently not worried about getting classified as a spam haven
