@AJ "PHP done correctly almost always fits the bill" that's true, but 1) that's true for every language out there 2) PHP makes it surprisingly hard to do things correctly. And yes, my website runs on WordPress (so PHP), but I'm glad the custom development has been limited to the bare minimum.
There's this cool thing called routing, that lets you do the same things that htaccess could, but much more easily. It's built into pretty much anything but PHP.
It's a small part of the server code. It tells the engine "if request comes to a URL matching /foo/bar/<id>", call "fooBarController" with the ID in the argument". Powerful, really helps.
Or perhaps fooController.quux(id), if you so desire
Did you know: Smarty, the most common view engine for PHP, does not have a sorting primitive. Because, you know, the order you display stuff in is a part of the business logic, not of the view.
I ended up implementing a selection sort. Kind of a pain, really.
> is not even consistent: NULL < -1, and NULL == 0. Sorting is thus nondeterministic; it depends on the order in which the sort algorithm happens to compare elements.
@Glorfindel That pattern looks like it's already caught by Bad ns for domain in body and Bad ns for domain in answer; append -force if you really want to do that.

The thyroid gland, or simply the thyroid, is an endocrine gland in the neck, consisting of two lobes connected by an isthmus. It is found at the front of the neck, below the Adam's apple. The thyroid gland secretes thyroid hormones, which primarily influence the metabolic rate and protein synthesis. The hormones also have many other effects including those on development. The thyroid hormones triiodothyronine (T3) and thyroxine (T4) are created from iodine and tyrosine. The thyroid also produces the hormone calcitonin, which plays a role in calcium homeostasis.
Hormonal output from the thyroid...

I scribbled my first name onto the delivery guy's cellphone, then realised "Oops, I didn't leave room for my surname". He replied "Meh, whatever" and walked away with just my first name.
I hate those digital sig things. My sig never ends up looking like my sig. I had to use one regularly and I would get < 50% pass rate on it. I think being left handed doesn't help.
While looking at some user statistics on SEDE I noticed a disturbing trend: the average downvote on Security SE comes from users with much less contribution on this site compared to other SE sites. It's similarly much more likely on this SE that a downvote came from a user who only has a few que...

I noticed that I'm third in the query results, so let me explain what happens (in my case, and probably in @tripleee's case as well). I often visit Security.SE after a report of a possible spam post in Charcoal HQ. I flag said post as spam, but I also often downvote it. Of the 195 downvotes I've ...

@CaffeineAddiction I was just running that SEDE query on a few sites and it doesn't seem to always be accurate. For example on EE.SE the following user shows 1 post when he has 264 so all the stats are off: electronics.stackexchange.com/users/319/kellenjb
Job for apache2.service failed because the control process exited with error code. See "systemctl status apache2.service" and "journalctl -xe" for details.
The server is on a Raspberry Pi.
Basically I just want to treat /whatever as /whatever.php
@iBug Been a while since I used a Pi but I think the default config is a little non-standard. You should probably include Raspberry Pi while searching.
Getting a .htaccess file to run is a pretty standard thing to do on apache. It sounds to me like a syntax error because the config files are pretty touchy. If you look at what the actual error you're getting is, that should tell you exactly the problem to look for a solution to.
