jwpfoxThis answer https://stackoverflow.com/review/low-quality-posts/18003060 is being presented as a review audit. The system declares that the reviewer should act to delete it because it is spam or offensive etc. I see nothing offensive in the text. Personally, it looks like an all right candid...

> The motivation behind these should never be to earn badges (which, unfortunately, SE stimultes). IMO, all flagging, downvoting, putting on hold and closing (by anyone below moderator level) should cost the one who flags 50 points, downvoting should cost 100 and closing should cost 500. One should also get negative badges "Pesterer", "Gravedigger", "Bully" and "Whiner" for repeatedly engaging in these.

And no odious action should be allowed without a mandatory comment, constructive in its essence.

but I was able only to read the first line

@Federico huh, with that mindset I can see that, but otherwise it's hard to tell what it is

@Magisch told you not to look down :P

it's a recurring theme in advance fee fraud, also known as 419 -- rich person (not necessarily from Nigeria) needs help to smuggle a fortune out of the country, and is willing to give you a healhty share for acting as the middleman so as not to bust their cover
of course, it's all a scheme to get you to pay "a small fee" to handle the first few stages, and you never see the supposed millions
another one we see here regularly is a "voodoo doctor" with a WhatsApp number in Nigeria who can cure cancer, unfavorable looks, unattractive spouse syndrome, and bad luck
just to name a few of the amazing services

1:27 PM
what is this fascination with Nigeria? Never understood it. Is it just me? :p

@tripleee yeah, I'd have noticed that, but in the post there isn't any way to contact the person to give all your money to :p

@SurajRao not clear on the precise demographics, but it's been particularly prevalent in Nigeria, probably because some local gangs specialized in this
the "419" is the Nigerian statute number which criminalizes this
it's by no means exclusive to Nigeria, I've seen it from many countries in Africa
and one ring which was apparently operating out of Amsterdam, though they were probably Nigerian

@tripleee interesting... TIL

It's come to my attention, after a discussion with a CM, that the vandalism comment needs to be changed.
For reference, this is the comment: Please do not vandalise your posts. Once you have submitted a post, you have licensed the content to the Stack Overflow community at large (under the CC-by-SA license). If you would like to disassociate this post from your account, see [What is the proper route for a disassociation request](https://meta.stackoverflow.com/questions/323395)?
The CMs would prefer it if we don't mention disassociation in there; disassociation is only to be mentioned if they have specifically said that they want to keep the post up, but not have their name attached.
Not for every user vandalizing their post.

Do we get many new members to this forum? Apart from me I don't know anyone that comes up here or has joined later then me @everyone

@JakeSymons We do get new people periodically.
Oh hey: we get several new users per month. I can't say how many become active, but that's what I have available.
