Hm, the "vpnranks.com" results are mostly decent answers that happen to link to that site.
I'm not too sure the blacklist is right

It has been added almost two years ago.

It seems a bit harsh, to me... Although the answers aren't great.

It hasn't had any other hits since 8 months. We've discussed before to remove blacklist entries which didn't have any TPs in the last 6 months, so I think we can remove it.

Move all those "checking" functions to a separate file

You can suggest that to undo or art but the guiding principle for code refactoring has been "If it works dont touch it"

Move the "rules", "pattern_websites ", etc lists to a separate file
"If it works dont touch it" Yea, I figured as much xD

@Cerbrus I suggested that sometime. That wasn't wanted back then. So I assume it isn't wanted now.

Btw, last night I had an idea that it would be cool to make an incremental game in the Spam flagging/SmokeDetector topic.
You see a stream of posts flowing down the screen and have to click spam posts out of those to flag them.
Each valid flag earns you points, misclicks cost points
And then you can buy upgrades to Smokey with the points, which makes it easier to spot the posts and starts automating the flags.

... which could be fed with spam from MS
Including FP's for higher difficulty levels

Spam fighting is addictive enough for me without being an arcade game. Please don't tempt me any further :P

Hm, now I'm thinking about a "news feed" that shows new smokey reports...
Big touchscreen with spam reports scrolling up, with feedback buttons
Might be a little overkill

Actually, we could use such a system if we were to ever classify all the posts that we miss (if we can get the data on them)
Make an incremental game on it

I moved the blacklists to their own folder, and split out the "rules building" from findspam.py into a separate module, split in helper functions and in "bad stuff" data.
No idea if that works, but I think it's a lot more readable.
