@Magisch it'd have to scrape the flag pages, since the API doesn't give out that sort of info
Which makes things pretty hard
@Mithrandir you've been in here for a while and seem to have some sort of grasp over what we do and how to use the bot, are you interested in getting priviliges?
@ArtOfCode As I understand it, it's currently only your account autoflagging, right? Any plans on expanding that to have more weight (maybe autoflag with 2-5 flags instead of just one?

@Magisch you might've missed that, but trying to transfer a bounty to SmokeDetector (in order to hit the rep bonus so it can flag) has ignited some discussion on Meta.

viewing the page source of a few of the recent health/hair removal/skin/whatever pharma spams is weird, they all use WordPress and so just following the link might allow us to easily lump them all together as clearly coming from the same operation
a weird fluke is that many of them are 404 but offer to visit the site's main page instead
also they seem to be trashing some competitor about their side effects
if I'm reading this correctly, which is not really a given
not seeing the images at all means I'm speculating about some parts
also, if you want to check them out, maybe use an anonymizing VPN

once you find the "buy" link (which isn't always obvious) it goes through a bunch of redirects, some of them are probably pure obfuscation and some may be affiliate links (the spammer gets a slice of the income and the redirect site gets another slice, per click or per actual item sold)
I'm guessing this is a single spammer doing A/B testing, or it could be two competing spammers in the same affiliate network
different WordPress themes (as if this made a big difference), click counter etc
I just flagged a question (now deleted) and his answer, both as spam. They used the following spam pattern :
User #1 ask a question. His nickname on SO is a company name - let's say "Foo bar".
User #2 answer the question with a link to a premium plugin (saying it's a perfect solution, cheaper t...

@Magisch correct. When we have approval from SE, we'll open up registrations and increase the max flag count to 2 or 3.
We may or may not technically need approval for this, and realistically I don't see SE having a problem with it - but we'd like to ask them because this is unique and has never been done before, so giving them a chance to raise concerns and veto if necessary seems like the right thing to do.
ah, so Smokey does the realtime post part, which in turn works with metasmoke, which if there's enough filter weight in play, it'll autoflag said post, which it got originally from Smokey?
@ArtOfCode yeah it's a pretty piece of engineering. but evil expensive, partly due to the price of the firearm ($1400+ now), and then the price of the ammo, because it's fairly unique in bullet and cartridge size.
