Hey, it works on dis.A51?

@SmokeDetector k

o.O MetaSmoke died
@Mithrandir No, it's probably just intercepting from FDSC
or I just don't have access...
@ArtOfCode @Undo how come I can't see post data on MS now?
for anything

For me only the Area51 post doesn't show in MS.

huh, you're right
my system derped on loading some of the other data (LAG)
but the Area51 post doesn't show heh

8:30 PM
!!/blame

@Glorfindel It's DavidPostill's fault.

well
there we go.

that is weird

What is?

Maybe the SE API works differently for Area51 posts?

8:31 PM
the a51 post not showing up

Or not at all?

Area 51 is just really, really, outdated.
>There was a time when Q&A sites worked the same as A51 in that respect. They've been upgraded. Area 51 is a separate codebase and most things we do never make it there. It's so far out of date and so far removed from the rest of our infrastructure that changes are hard (and some are impossible).

The gist of it is "it works well enough for the site proposal process, and we have a lot more higher priority work to do on Q&A + other projects".– Anna Lear♦

^ metasmoke server log for that post

@ArtOfCode it's picking up on the FDSC, my guess is brokenness though

which makes things even more weird - Smokey sent all the data just fine, so the API worked for that post
The plot thickens. @Undo you're gonna wanna take a look at this. Post 52198, discuss.area51, Smokey sent metasmoke the data just fine (log above, full log to follow). Flag logs. Autoflagging would have kicked in, but errored out on MS; undefined method flag_conditions for nil:NilClass. I'm guessing we don't have a site record for dis.A51, on that one.

8:37 PM
@ArtOfCode Or the API doesn't support flag raising

nope, that's an error on metasmoke's side

@ArtOfCode I'm gonna say that d.a51 is just completely broken
Just on principle. But I'll still look.

@ThomasWard go on that one

yeah, we don't have an a51 site record.

@Undo gotcha, so the fact that it's an inner join on sites is messing with things

yup

8:46 PM
@SmokeDetector vandalism

changing that to left join won't help, we'll get undefined method site_logo for nil:NilClass

that's easy enough to fix

@SmokeDetector vandalism
@ArtOfCode i'll need an FDSC review one last time though, because I incorrectly wildcarded Area51 :/
kicks self

@ThomasWard I've got it

yep

FDSC updated to 1.9.3, so that we don't have to deal with A51's shit any more. (Get it here)

rather direct ;)

@ArtOfCode Nope, we don't!
we get a new and exciting error

@Undo is it the "YOU SCREWED SHIT UP" error alert msg? :P

@Undo we don't? Huh, my mental Rails interpreter has failed me.
Go back to school, mental Rails interpreter.

8:51 PM
@ArtOfCode It's because we're still selecting it, it just shows up as nil. So it's defined as nil.
Rails 5 handles some stuff different, you used to be able to pass nil to image_tag
I think

well it's not wrong
nil isn't a valid asset source

yeah, but it'd be easier if it just didn't show anything
meh

@ArtOfCode shouldn't the script exclude area51.stackexchange.com? area51.stackoverflow.com doesn't exist

does @post.site_logo || "" do it?

@ArtOfCode I'm just wrapping it in an unless. A little cleaner.

8:56 PM
@Floern you saw nothing, and I blame @ThomasWard :)
@Undo or that

blames everyone including himself, then divides by zero, invalidating the failure

@Glorfindel It's bummi's fault.

For the moment, though, lots of flags for me :)
