@AlexanderO'Mara No, you are not a privileged user. Please see the privileges wiki page for information on what privileges are and what is expected of privileged users.
@BrockAdams YES! What passes for information about the problem is here from Tim Post. The abuse banishment threshold is very temporarily halved to combat it. We'll take very unkindly to people using that power for evil.
I came to notice the documentation is getting spammed by users.
But there is only an option to dismiss a documentation request. Nothing to flag the request as spam or I could not find anything in the user profile to report the user.
For example, see the profile of szally

Pretty girl (no offense meant, but not the DIY type), and the website sells tiles and a few additional tools, but not even close to what the OP is looking for.
@SmokeDetector given that this answer was manually reported, we might need to blacklist star-writers.com (even if this is the first hit). EL&U is complaining about a large spam surge, which is not really visible in our statistics.
@Glorfindel I think Smokey (buggily) repeats the notice whenever a previously reported message is edited
it's not a bug per se but it would be helpful if the repeated notice would say "I know you might already have seen this but it was edited recently" instead
@tripleee but the edited version of the message was also reported. Still, Smokey might compare the manually reported answer to the first version and conclude that it was edited.
Yes, and Smokey compares it to the first hit of that answer in its DB. It was edited since then, so it reports it here. However, had Smokey compared it with the second hit, it would have concluded that it was not edited.

@tripleee The problem is that this has to be human-controlled and you have to have seen a handful of them to see the pattern. So, even if Smokey detects them, we need to teach all Smokey users not to react like David Postill did on my accidental report.
@JanDvorak Yes, but that’s not really the problem. You do not need any particular guidance or experience to deal with Smokey reports. You need particular guidance to deal with those posts.
What would work (to just give an example) would be a Smokey fork that posts these posts to a particular chatroom for people who know what they are doing.
Yes. What's left is to get it to pick room based on matched patterns rather than just sites. I haven't seen the relevant code, but it shouldn't be hard
The tricky part will be coming up with the patterns, though
The problem is that we see some (manually reported) instances of spam and abusive posts on EL&U (which we eventually want to be detected by Smokey) as well, see here.
If someone can come up with some consistent textual characteristics of these LQ posts on EL&U, I'm happy to help out by getting Smokey to scan for and report them to EL&U.
This should probably done in a specially modified fork of Smokey that (a) doesn't post here, (b) doesn't communicate with metasmoke, and (c) doesn't have any of the usual spam filters.
@ArtOfCode We should get a considerable amount (though not all of them) by filtering by checking for 1) Short questions mentioning an English tense by new users on ELU. 2) New users with typically Indonesian names posting a question on ELU.
In the Czech Republic, each day of the year except national holidays corresponds to a personal name. People celebrate their name day ("svátek" or more formally "jmeniny") on the date corresponding to their own given name.
In the past, parents were not allowed to choose just any name for a child. This has changed, although it is still common to choose the name from the name day "calendar" and any highly unusual name has to be approved by a special office. The original list was the Roman Catholic calendar of saints, but many changes were made to reflect the present-day usage of names.
The name day...
If we duplicate Smokey to deal with EL&U's problems, it'll be in another room. I'm also going to make it an explicit privilege re-request so that I know people in there know what's going on. So: if this happens, who wants privs there?
