@hichris123 I recently got a key off Undo so that I can run smokey if this one goes down (since it always seems to happen when I am the only one online). I just thought it might be a good idea to get room access for my sock so that it is ready in advance.
Although I could run it off my own account if needs be... I forgot about that
Ah. Well, I think we pretty much have that covered. ArtOfCode/I/ProgramFOX (I think) have creds to Smokey's account. You could always ask Undo to send them to you as well though.
@hichris123 I could, but I'll just use my account until it's necessary. After all, I've only been around here for 3 months or so, I'd like to build up a little more trust and know-how before I request creds.
@Undo you might want to consider clearing all of these posts from the MS database. It will make our FP rate much lower :P
Hello @Undo, I saw that you just locked this post, but the user -- a repeat offender -- still has on offensive profile. What's a fella got to do to get suspended around here? :D
@BrockAdams FYI I am going to integrate the answer-deleted-notification functionality from your Flagging assistant script into the latest version of our FDSC script under the terms of license. Thanks!
@angussidney Okay. Note that a few guys are probably using both scripts, so there might be redundant notifications. If you use and check for preexisting #gmAnswerGoneAlrt nodes, I can do the same.
Let me know when you've updated your script (I don't use FDSC yet, but might in the future).
@BrockAdams I've changed the notification style so that it uses the error message notification made by SE (which is less obtrusive) rather than your custom one, to maintain similarity of all error messages with our script. So although there will be two notifications, this one disappears automatically after 10s and is less obtrusive. I could however add a setting which allows you to switch it on or off, should be fairly easy. I'll do that now.
@angussidney Awesome wiki page, thanks! If you like, you can use an image that doesn't have the code blocked out in red - the 7-digit codes are only vulnerable in the first 10 minutes, so as long as you use an old one, it's fine.
For those who were interested, I've updated the MS dark theme script so that it's now an actual dark theme, rather than just the navbar. Direct install.
@Magisch you can, but either you've gotta find an existing one (not many of them) or find someone who's good enough at CSS and has enough time to burn to get you one
@angussidney Okay. We have a different UI philosophy and a different flag workflow. So, it looks like the annoyance would be minimal from my end. Tabling that issue, for now, unless a valued user squawks about it (accompanied by a suitable cash donation).
@hichris123 i don't want smokey to ping me overnight. when i let pings enabled overnight, i end up with a whole lot of already-acted-upon notifications in my global inbox
@Gothdo Notice that I'm in the progress of turning it into a userscript, since I don't want to pay money to release it in the chrome webstore (it was previously hosted by NormalHuman, but removed for some unknown reason)
@Gothdo I ported most of the code directly over (only minor changes were required), and I am not most experienced with javascript to know how to improve the code
@Gothdo Just spotted a bug in code, it always matched the pattern "/\/smokedetector/", but since the change that smokedetector now uses "git.io", that no longer works
