Over at Charcoal HQ, we run a headless chatbot called SmokeDetector which detects spam from across the entire SE network. It posts all spam reports to the Charcoal HQ chatroom and some site-specific reports to various other chatrooms on the network.
According to our statistics, Arqade is the 7th...
@zaq Right, but I'm saying unless the Bridge has been approached about this prior and seemed receptive, and/or knew about it prior... the chances of wanting a bot to post spam in a room is rather slim.
In fact, I might suggest just asking outright in chat. Chat regulars might not participate on meta much.
Because if it is like that, then it means that the new message format has been implemented
instead of an elipsis at the end of the message (which can be chopped off by chat controls so you cant click it) they moved an MS to the start of the report
@undo: I tried to make an account on Metasmoke and noted that it does not accept passwords starting with a space character (did not test for other positions).
@ArtOfCode How would I add this (IIRC, you said it was working with Greasemonkey, but that would require me to manually enter domains and such stuff, if I understand correctly)?
@zaq I submitted a pull to fix the parsing in spamtracker, it seems to work based on manual calling of the methods, there isn't enough spam today to test them live
@Ferrybig Thanks. I added a tweak, making | MS part optional (it may be omitted to keep the message under 500 chars, and is absent from allspam reports which do not register in MS)
@zaq I'm having trouble with the extension. I'm not getting notifications. Just uninstalled it again, closed and reopened browser and will see if it works next notification @Ferrybig is it working for you now? the chrome extension?
@zaq Smokey might have dropped off the websocket. The feedback seems to have been recorded okay, and I can see that metasmoke tried to send a websocket message.
