Actually, the relevant parts of code don't use Chrome API. I should release a userscript version that does everything the extension does, except desktop notification.

@Randal'Thor There isn't a way to formally report it, unless you want to undelete temporarily. But you can tell us how to detect such things, e.g., what URL was there.
I wonder how useful it'd be to blacklist "My name is"? Seems to show up in a lot of spam of the "this service helped me so much" type, like that one just now on RPG.
I can always tell if a spam post on SFF hasn't been caught by Smokey, because it hasn't been flagged by the usual suspects from in here (Bookend, Ashish, Yvette, Ferrybig, and so on).
There's the persistent concrete / rock crusher spammers who've been spamming SFF for years and who only got added to Smokey's list recently (after I brought them to Bookend's attention).
Another idea, maybe when there's a report which got tpu and the post isn't deleted after one hour, post the report again to draw attention of new room members? (e.g. it would have caused the spam I just reported to be deleted sooner)
(Telegram and recently WhatsApp are doing it as well, bit annoying but terribly effective. ;))
