@AshishAhujaツ Of course

@ByteCommander why did you report this post? Doesn't look like spam or rude to me
@QPaysTaxes I agree it can get spam answers, but I don't think we should report posts that might get spam. The appropriate action will not be spam nuking it right?
Ah, so were there any spam answers on that?
Yeah. I think that clears it. Thanks

@QPaysTaxes I check because sometimes the bot might crash, and you won't want many spammers bypassing smokey. I check like every 15 mins when there is no report

It's unlikely that the bot has crashed, and you can check on metasmoke.
Wonder if spammers get the day off. Probably wrong country...

@hichris123 they go quieter on the weekend

Today's Monday (or Tuesday) though. :P

@hichris123 I'm just making a general reference smarty pants :D
yes maybe the bot server (home pc) is down

For some reason, spammers work on Saturday though. Not sure why.

@Yvette the coincidence was that all our feedbacks were separated by 5 secs. Mine and yours 5 sec, your and quill's 5 sec.

@hichris123 the ping grabs a users attention, just as you did now and I've asked @AshishAhujaツ on a few occasions to please ping me less. as he will vouch. I don't mind providing feedback when busy, but don't like prolonged chats unless I'm on a break, But seeing you are disturbed by my attitude, as you frequently are, I will take a break from the room. I can ask someone to ping me less often can't I?

I don't mind asking someone to ping you less. I do mind the tone - "What are you doing?".

Can we stop the discussion? I won't ping Yvette from now on in the mornings

Why do links over here be printed in blue, but in SOCVR be printed in orange?

chat specific styling

so is it a setting which you can change to anything? Or it is default like that?
@Yvette I got a declined spam flag on that post.What 'bout you?

@AshishAhujaツ yeh some moderator not thinking
robo reviewing

@AshishAhujaツ it's specific to the chat domain

7:30 AM
@Yvette mod robo-reviewing? Does that even happen?

of course, they're human beings
sd k

@AshishAhujaツ kinda sorta
I lean more towards not really, than yes

@Yvette they can make mistakes I agree, but surely they won't robo-review? That's really new to me

it's not one click like a normal review

7:31 AM
@Quill i'm surprised

@Quill afaik it is in rejecting and approving flags

you have to do something about the flag (as in mark whether it's helpful) and then apply an action to the post or comment

Oh well, jon is in SOCVR. Lemme ask him

I have a diamond, I know these things <_<
someone probably just marked your flag(s) as not helpful accidentally

@Quill so you can approve reject flags as a job lot when they're on one post yes?
please you don't need to tell us about this in socvr
Now I will get told off for being rude

7:34 AM
@AshishAhujaツ Exactly as @QPaysTaxes explained, that question was an obvious spam seed.

@Yvette oops. deleted. I just thought of asking jon as he was active.
@ByteCommander got it

okay :)

@Yvette I think things like post deletion automagically resolve flags, but when you're in the mod menu it's a bit more complex
it was probably an accident, so you might get an apology if the mod recognises your username :)

@Undo Are you still looking for this information? I see one of the star'd posts is Bluefeet providing data for rude comments. I haven't looked through it yet though. If you are looking for rude stuff, I don't have any of those classified. It's not one of the delete reasons I was looking for, because they tend to be removed fairly quickly and examples were hard to find in SEDE

That dump is such a mess of random comments flagged randomly. :/

That's disappointing.
I am seeing that now too though

1:48 PM
@Bookend Welcome to the SO queue :(
@Andy Yeah, I was hoping that rude comments would be more... rude, and easier to train on.

@Undo Can't you just use a large set of "rude" keywords at the begining to grab a lot of comments potentially rude ? You would have a lot of FP at the begining but with the manual classification (as we are doing in this room) you would slowly create interesting data

You could

I don't have the time/knowledge to create such a system but I would be happy to help you classify the comments

Might be interesting to through a review queue thing together

@Undo Out of curiosity, do you moderators decide when new elections are held or is this ultimately up to SE staff?=
