@AshishAhujaツ I don't think we have a hard rule about that. If it's a part of a chain, it makes sense to confirm all at once

@AshishAhujaツ I'm attempting to report the post that haven't made it hear, so the users can be blacklisted and enough people can spam flag them, so they're deleted.
@soup I figure we have the number to get them deleted without flags, while waiting for a mod?

@soup No. I'm talking about something different. Yvette had only reported them in SOCVR, and I thought that there is a rule that you shouldn't respond to your oown reports.

@Magisch It was probably bugged because that post got reported 2 times

@Yvette I see. I didn't know about that

@Magisch "active in here atm", meaning in the last long bunch of messages (until Rory showed up) :-)

On Stackexchange most moderation is community driven

99% of all the SmokeDetector posts I see are from one of my sites...and as we have the direct feed into our mod room there, I am probably in this room less often than I should be

@Undo how are you avoiding RecordNotUnique errors with MS tests? I'm attempting to set up tests for another project, but it's throwing those at me. Seems like it's trying to re-create every fixture for every test it runs.

@ArtOfCode Never ran into them

huh, odd
So what command do you use to run the suite?

Sure you're using a seperate test database? Using a dev database will wreck everything
rails t(est)
I did notice that the test classes you generate are different than the ones I generate, though

5:25 PM
@Undo I'm just running the command :) I assume it's using the test database

@ArtOfCode Check config/database.yml?

rake db:drop db:create db:schema:load test
test:
  <<: *default
  database: db/test.sqlite3

yeah, should work
hmrph

odd
It's strange because it's exactly the same RecordNotUnique: INSERT INTO.... exception message for every single test. Which kinda suggests to me that it's inserting the same user into the DB before it runs every test.

This project public anywhere?

5:28 PM
Oooh I might have it

@ArtOfCode Rails does reset the database before every test

@Undo aye, but every single test, rather than every run. I think I've nobbled it now, though. Or at least, the error has changed to something else.
Thanks, though :)

@ArtOfCode Right, it resets the db before every test IIRC
Prevents cross-pollination and hard-to-debug things due to tests interacting on the same data

Oh. That must get expensive.

I thought I read somewhere that it actually just ROLLBACK's everything and kinda keeps the changes in memory or something
But this is getting into stuff I don't know

5:33 PM
That... would make sense actually. BEGIN TRANSACTION, do your inserts, ROLLBACK when the test ends.

But then it shouldn't be reloading the fixtures. That's just weird.
@SmokeDetector fpu-

I don't think it was. Two of the user fixtures had the same email, which is probably what tripped it.
