they don't bother me, I guess the red color for code is debatable but it seems to be all the rage these days

and making the box bigger to accommodate the long link doesn't seem like a good idea; though maybe there could be a way to force a wrap if it's longer than the box, especially for code-formatted text? (Stack Overflow seems to have a similar issue, there are no good ways to make really long code lines render pleasantly)
