Thank you for testing the error handler for the situation

@EriktheOutgolfer What if they did _1_800_503_3075__call_me ? It's still very human readable, and isn't much more complication to the regex (for some spammers we have to get more complex). Basically, it's part of adapting the regex to the bookended \b. As with all the watchlist/blacklist-keyword items, you should remember that they are bookended by \b. Actually, they start with (?:^|\b) and end with (?:\b|$), which are the Python equivalent of using a \b that also matches ^ and $.

Correct behavior. Nothing wrong here

5:44 PM
@quartata you're not wrong but we catch that error, the actual git error was on git branch -D
if you reread the message from errorlogs I called
which i just trimmed ;)

@EriktheOutgolfer It has one. You're looking at the SE chat-Markdown processed output, not the raw chat message.

git branch -D would still have worked if the local branch was made

Oh oh
OH that's because it's in a finally:

yep
that's an easy fix though

So even though it errored and stopped after it got a bad response from the GH API it still tried to do it

5:45 PM
@Makyen ah, didn't realize there was even markdown in there >_< facepalm

All right my bad

@quartata yep. easy fix though
loads up PyCharm

@EriktheOutgolfer Yeah, it was a real pain in the rear until not that long ago. Not that long ago, SD was using the SE chat-Markdown processed version of the text and we would have to carefully \ quote all the things that might be markdown (mostly pairs of *). Fortunately, SD was changed to use the raw chat message for !!/(un)?watch and !!/(un)?blacklist-.*, which lets us just enter the exact regex, without worrying about quoting for SE chat-Markdown.

@Undo not sure why then that deploy is two revs behind, one's a watchlist addition and the other is my wrapping our branch -D calls around its own try/except because it explodified earlier
could it have exploded earlier because of a GH outage or...?

can't look now, but that isn't a thing that break often

indeed, just thought I'd mention it since i just noticed it

@NobodyNada thanks, this is basically the same setup I had in mind
Only gotcha now is that Client("stackexchange.com") won't work the way people expect

@quartata yep, it's what SOBotics came up with as well
@quartata unless I'm missing something, it'll log into MSE but still function as normal
Logging in to something.stackexchange.com is required to get cookies for stack exchange.com
so I do this

But won't it call login_site with "stackexchange.com"

7:39 PM
@quartata Right, because that wouldn't work

Oh my bad
Special case
Not a big deal though: we could just do Client("askubuntu.com") since chat.askubuntu.com redirects

@quartata in my PR, doing Client('stackexchange.com') logs you into MSE, which gives you cookies that work on Chat.SE

Site ones like chat.codegolf.stackexchange.com work too
@NobodyNada Yeah I only saw that code now

CF is evil with caches. I can kick Smokey and force the IP if needed.
I typically do that anyways though if it's to IPs I know/control and know they aren't changing any time soon
