@AJ That's a decent drive. However, there are lot of trade-offs as to which SSD to purchase (price/capacity/performance/warranty/etc.). I normally read reviews to compare various brands/models/capacities. Note that your best performance improvement will normally be by having your OS drive be an SSD. What capacity you get/need will depend on what you're doing with it (e.g. if you have an additional HDD for larger bulk storage, which it sounds like you do).

I'm not sure if it's worthwhile comparing prices that you can get there with what I could get here. My go-to place for just getting a feel for prices is to look at the weekly deals at frys.com. However, I'd normally want to shop around, as their prices are definitely not always the best.

@AJ interesting. Where I live, that particular SSD costs AU$109 (5500 INR). I have that exact model in my computer, and I've been really happy with it. However, it is a more expensive brand compared to most, you might be able to get a western digital or crucial drive for a bit cheaper.
