@JakeSymons op actually commented, so I guess it's not spam cc @ArtOfCode
it's confusing

@quartata @ArtOfCode I'm not really sure how that qualifies as spam/rude. It's a terrible, off-topic, non-question, which should be closed & deleted (Roomba, or delete-votes), but I don't really see it qualifying for red-flags. I guess one might consider it abusive, but IMO the OP actually intended it as a real question, particularly given that they have at least commented. It does mention an app, but so do lots of questions which are about problem people have with their released code.

Oh, I retracted

@Makyen Agreed, I retracted the flag
Leaving the TP for our purposes, though
would be happy to block it at system level

I kinda figured that it was asking what the email meant after reading it for the fifth time

10:09 PM
no there's not shhh

...

@ArtOfCode just for info chat.stackoverflow.com/transcript/message/40795319#40795319 generalizing the idea some it could be interesting for other rooms also

Leaving the TP for our purposes, though

@ArtOfCode I'd be fine with that. :-)

@PetterFriberg I'm already working on something very similar
Well a piece of which is very similar

10:12 PM
@quartata nice keep me updated and inform gun

I should probably hurry up, Art's getting grumpy and SOBotics is already unwittingly considering stealing the name

@quartata Doesn't look like it. This is for notifying bots of chat messages, not of new posts.

@ArtOfCode This will also do that though
At least for commands you set up
That's why the bots can be entirely serverless -- they don't interact with any websockets at all if they don't want to

@quartata tell you what, extend it to all chat messages and we can use that as a unified platform

That idea is basically to load all message to db and then create an Ali and web interface

10:13 PM
(also get it in a repo ;) )
@PetterFriberg and what's Ali going to do with our messages? :P

In other great news apparently running rails generate tries to load your config/application.rb which in turn is crashing because it tries the spawn the bloody bodyfetcher thread

Sorry on mobile ... that should be api

Where can I move this so that it only triggers when you're actually running the server

@quartata that... sounds like a bad idea
don't put not-config in config
@PetterFriberg where do I comment on this proposal?

why do they call it boot.rb then
it sounds like the place to me, it's the entry point
or one of a few steps along the entry point

10:15 PM
NOT sure I have suggested to add it to git

@quartata just throw it in a repo so I can have a look :P
don't matter if it's unfinished

@Catija Cause someone !!/watched it apparently

But why... is there a way to see what triggered that action?

Not really...

I bet it has to do with those CBD gummy bear ads.
