As for the variation on routes, I'm guessing they're trying to give more variety instead of endless repeat Pokemon like in former games, but that's just a hunch.
@BenBrocka Also, if it's got any held items they won't cross over.
@BenBrocka The game sync garbage is a poor excuse for not having universal accounts. There's no good reason why you can't be able to sign into an account on your 3DS.
I think I've got one or two modest ones, but I'll have to double check later. I'm probably going to go through breeding again so I can get another female Eevee.
Leveling up Eevee's Affection in Amie was sort of a pain in the butt. You have to feed it, pet it, and then play games to get rid of it's fullness.
There is a plus side though. Apparently keeping your bond up gives you a small advantage in battles, which is good for when I need to farm Pokemon or hunt.
@Yuki What's the more efficient way? that's what I'm doing.
I've got two eggs in my bag, and I circle until one hatches. Then I fly back to the care center, and drop it off in the PC then get the new egg from the man.
@user56652 Yeah. Talking to the guy should say "they get along". That means you have a higher chance of getting an Egg every time you take a couple steps, which means lower CD on eggs.
I just go back and fourth in front of the daycare. If one hatches, I'm usually right by the daycare to drop it off and pick up a new egg. unless the Pokemon egg has an obscenely long hatch requirement (even with flame body), I don't see any use flying elsewhere to run in circles.
@Yuki They are "getting along". By the way if you happen to find a spare foreign Ditto then I'd like to trade you for it. I'm working on getting you that female Fennekin btw.
@user56652 Friend Safari lets you get some Pokemon you probably won't find elsewhere and if your Friend is online, his Safari can get you Pokemon with Hidden Abilities.
And Fletchling, the Pidgey of this generation, can get Gale Wings which makes all Flying-types moves take priority, essentially making them like Quick Attack.
For the record though "Super Training" is easier then "EV Training" (in the old games), it still is a hassle. I can't dodge any of those soccer balls to save my life.
@BenBrocka I wish the 3ds friend list kept the temporary name I gave people... I tended to go with "Arq-BenBro" type naming convention for arqade users.
Actually (I don't know your sisters age) she may have turned off her 3DS (or it could have ran out of life) during an update. That's known to "brick" Nintendo consoles.
Ask her what she was doing with it before it broke, and see if she mentions an update.
Actually, you can get Metal Coats fairly easily somewhere.
I'll have to look it up.
Okay, I can either spend BP and get you a Metal Coat (I don't remember how much they go for) or we can try to find somebody with a Metang in the Friend Safari.
@Yuki Hell no. I meant as far as battling the NPC's and such.
@Yuki Yup, only Gym Leaders, and the E4.
I've noticed that X/Y occasionally lag (even without 3D). If you play in a match sometimes you'll see animations (menu/Pokemon) slow, or stutter a little bit.
@Yuki It's nothing terrible, but it's still there. We've got to cut them a little slack since this is the first Pokemon game (in the main series) to use 3D models.
After a certain amount of time, your Pokemon can stop spreading Pokerus which is why you generally want to infect a random Pokemon, say a Pidgey, and just keep it in the box.
In case you need to get Pokerus on another Pokemon.
