Can't naturally cast find steed. I mean, anybody can do it though this loophole.

@Yuuki Thoughts on Ring of Spell Storing?

@DavidCoffron Has contact allergies with precious metals.
My main goal is a character chasing great power with the ultimate goal of something incredibly inane.

@Yuuki I like the idea; I was just playing devil's advocate
@Yuuki Could also be accomplished by seeking the wish spell for like "I wish for a smart horse"

@Yuuki The world's most comfortable underwear!

Getting access to Wish for "the best pizza".

8:11 PM
Can one cast wish from a scroll if they are unable to cast it via spell slot?

@goodguy5 What do you mean 'unable to cast it via spell slot'?

@goodguy5 Yes, but why is your GM giving you a wish scroll

The stress of wishing for things

@goodguy5 Oh, in that case, no

@DavidCoffron Maybe you wrote it?
scenario.

8:14 PM
@goodguy5 Ah, I get it
Make a bunch of wish scrolls to avoid the stress; unfortunately doesn't work

why not?

> unable to cast wish ever again if you suffer this stress.

The spell is already cast, as per the description of scrolls.

you are still casting with the scroll
> If the spell is on your class’s spell list, you can read the scroll and cast its spell without providing any material components.

ah
fine, then can a wizard craft wish scrolls? if he's suffered the stress of casting?

8:18 PM
@goodguy5 Depends on who you ask, the Dungeon Master or Xanathar
DMG says, yes if you have a formula. XGtE has different rules

gotcha

@goodguy5 Actually you can do it with Xanathar too. I thought it said you have to cast the spell, but nope:
> In addition, the character must have proficiency in the Arcana skill and must provide any material components required for the casting of the spell. Moreover, the character must have the spell prepared, or it must be among the character’s known spells, in order to scribe a scroll of that spell.
So a wizard who suffered stress could craft/scribe scrolls for someone else to use on his behalf

yiss

DMG rules just say:
> If a spell will be produced by the item being created, the creator must expend one spell slot of the spell’s level for each day of the creation process.
So you just expend your 9th level slot during the creation (don't have to actually cast the spell)
@goodguy5 However, it costs 250,0000 gp using either set of rules
100,000 days using DMG, but only 480 using XGtE

@DavidCoffron Time waits for no one.

8:30 PM
@KorvinStarmast I thought we had a question about the ludicrous amount of time the DMG rules require, but I can't find it now
like even for rare items they cut the time in half for XGtE

I wonder how off-the-rails a campaign where every player starts with an artifact would get
Maybe an evil campaign with eye or hand of vecna, sword of kas, book of vile darkness, and wand of orcus

@DavidCoffron Could be interesting... get a 1st level party, give them some artifacts, then set them against encounters meant for higher levels

GcL
@MikeQ I imagine the survival rate would be low
Don't some of those artifacts cast suggestion and stuff on the user

We've been very focused (and very grateful for the love) on our own crowdfunding campaign, it's time to share: Space Cats is a Fate-powered RPG for kids by Fabio Silva. Proceeds go to help feed & rehabilitate the street cats he's taken in. Back it here: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/space-cats-children-s-role-playing-game#/

9:14 PM
@MikeQ I was thinking starting at 7th level or so. 1st level you die too easily to those more difficult enemies
@GcL yeah but they're all avoidable Or only on attunement (idea was to start already attuned). However sword of kas +eye/hand wouldn't work bc they are enemies.

This Friday, join us for a brand new series, #WindsWithin. We'll be playing Do: #Fate of the Flying Temple from @EvilHatOfficial and working together to raise money for @TransLifeline. 13 weeks, 12 sessions, our goal is to raise 500 dollars! #ttrpg #charitystream 8pm EST

I just bought my morning coffee... A woman smiled at me when I left, and said "have a good Friday!"
For some reason, nothing clicked in my brain so for a good three seconds I just stared at her blankly, trying to fathom my place in the universe, before it finally clicking. "You too!" with a smile.

10:28 PM
@BESW oh this is cool

user15026
@Ben For me it is still Thursday so I was extra confused

It's also Thursday here too.

well it's Friday here so it's all tied up
so there
I guess XD

user15026
giggles fine then be that way ;)

I will
I will continue to be a total weirdo who cares about random stupid things XD
mostly for the sake of making bad jokes

user15026
10:36 PM
Works for me :D

lol
it's way easier via text than in person that's for sure

Q: Do I add my skill check modifier to the roll of 15 granted by Glibness?

Ryan ThompsonWhile affected by Glibness, a creature can replace any Charisma roll with a 15: Until the spell ends, when you make a Charisma check, you can replace the number you roll with a 15. It's not clear to me from this wording whether the 15 replaces the roll before or after adding any modifiers. ...

user15026
@trogdor For sure. I am so bad at expressing myself verbally, let alone making terrible jokes, but in text I can hold my thoughts together longer

Yes exactly
But also it's harder to even decide to make a joke
Or come up with one of someone is staring you in the face

user15026
so true!

Ben
10:53 PM
@Ash Oh, damn. Spoilers sorry

user15026
giggles I hope you feel adequately bad for that

Ben
Well, maybe you should feel relieved, that yes; the sun will come out, tomorrow. Bet your bottom dollar

Lol
Stop telling the past people stuff about the future man
They definitely don't need to know about the catacalypse with so quiet

Ben
Well, I mean, Australia doesn't exist so for all you know, I could just be spouting government controlled lies to keep the population from panicking about apocalyptic events.

Lol

Ben
11:01 PM
People say that the English empire is dying. But they were smart. They created contingency plans like this so that they could keep their foot in the door.

user15026
@Ben that hurts my brain

Ben
@Ash Try being an employee of this whole plan.

user15026
I can imagine that would get rather confusing.

Wow I drive to work and you say the weirdest things without me
XD

Ben
I do have a speech here... hang on...

user15026
11:13 PM
@trogdor Lesson: Never go to work :P

Yeah! No more work wooooo!

Ben
I live in Australia. It is a very diverse place. We get all sorts of weather. We have all sorts of Culture. We have unique and dangerous wildlife. If you visit, we will not be held responsible for any events that may befall you. Have a nice day.

No more money for food, video games or dental appointments wooooo ooo oo o?

user15026
@Ben thats what an Australian would say if they were trying to convince me they were real.

Ben
Sorry, hang on there's a bit on the back...

11:17 PM
I wish we were as real as fake Australia

user15026
@Ben see you don't even know all your lines omg

Ben
Have a whopper of a day, and don't be a drongo.

XD
Oh god Drongos
They are horrible
I hate em
I love birds but they suck
For those who don't know they are birds who build a bear and then spend waaaaasyyyyy too much time dive bombing you if you walk or especially run like 100 feet away from the high up place they built it

Ben
@trogdor that's why you should avoid becoming one.

Apparently they also just harass other birds for fun
Rip out feather dive bomb the all really nice stuff
I have had success if I knew they were about to go for me jumping up at them as they dove me though
All the ones I've done that to have stopped doing that to me afterwards
In fact I don't know if I caused it but one pair actually moved thier nest away from my workplace XD
Good riddance

Ben
11:27 PM
Plovers, Magpies, Drongos.. sometimes cockatoos if they're having an extra bad day
The black cockatoos never swoop, but they're big enough that even the thought of that potential is terrifying enough to give them a wide berth.
And then the Kookaburras just laugh at your misery.

Unfortunately we have pretty much only Drongos, Sparrows, pidgeons, and sometimes Seagulls here

@Ben you should take up falconry then ;)

A lot of our other birds are gone because of the snakes
And all those bird species we have left are ones you can find in a lot of places, we lost some pretty unique birds

Ben
55-65cm wingspan.
@Shalvenay If anything, I want to hold (like, have it perch on my arm) a wedge-tailed eagle at least once
284cm is the biggest verified wingspan

hey there @nitsua60

Ben
11:40 PM
Me thinking about Wedge-tailed Eagles

Lol

user15026
@Ben O.o

Ben
Such majestic

Ok... point of interest here... this question about tieflings is from a new user, they failed to add the system tag. Clarified in the comments that it was "5e".

@Ben I'd just respond to the comment with "D&D 5e, no?" or something of that ilk

Ben
The review queue shows several attempts to add the dnd-5e tag, (my double attempt was my own confusion, thought it was a double edit conflict).
However Tieflings don't exist outside of D&D?
