I was thinking of putting the main point front and centre and then the list with "etc" afterwards, something like:

This is a sentence from "The old man and the sea" by Hemingway. I'm not sure if it means the coffee was served inside cans or it is made using condensed milk.

I wrote out a nice long answer to the "Sixteen Sexophonists" question, and now I'm debating if it's a weeny bit too long.
The structure of the answer is currently:
- Introductory parts: where I got the quotes from, my central claim - A section with a bunch of quotes to establish that the world is built around controlling what kind of sex happens, and the prevailing attitudes towards sex (the longest part) - The actual answer-answer, where I quote passages from the nightclub scene to support my claim from the introduction. This part makes use of information established in the second part, but not *really* that much
Debating if I should drastically cut down the second part, or just remove it entirely. I could simply pull a quote or two from Wikipedia or elsewhere, but I was trying to just use the book as a source.
