That said, by licensing it here, you allow the version you created here to be adapted by others for the purpose of the site. This is why revision histories are so important. But the OP still holds the copyright and can do what they wish with the content elsewhere.

It makes no difference if it is a duplicate or not, we want to reward askers who put effort into their posts. Usually, if a question is good enough for you to spend a couple of minutes on it, it is good enough for an upvote.

There's no policy, really. It's just that 99% of the time, if the answer is absolutely identical, then the questions should be marked as dupes. I think I may have seen one or maybe two cases where 100% identical answers were given and actually did fit both posts perfectly and the posts were not dupes.
